OK OK I know this is going to make me sound stupid, but what exactly do these people actually want?? Why are the terrorists so keen on murdering us? If they hate us so much why do they live in Britain and America? I honestly don't understand what they want!

I just believe with all the comments i have read on here right now who suggest that the moderates are secretely extremists are all simply racist.

FYI Goodsoulette, last time I checked Islam is the world's fastest growing religion, however there are more Christians in the world. Obviously this includes the various different Christian religions, but whether it includes "non-worshiping" Christians, not sure. Hope that answers your Q from way back in this thread.

Billy barlow - how can you be 100% sure that the moderates do support the extremist ? The bloody Muslim Council of Britain disapprove of it and are disgusted with the demonstrations despite being offended by the recent cartoon incident. I'm now thinking that you have had serious personal problems with moderate muslims in your life which is why you keep waffling negative comments.

I have said before and I shall re-iterate.

If the muslim extremists who carry out atrocities in this country and embark on demonstrations against the west,which has probably in the main provided all the inhabitants of this country with a decent standard of living, you dont even have to work for it sometimes,regardless of colour or creed. dont like it why dont they go to a country who embraces their ethos.

I totally agree with drisgirl, just because you can see muslims for what they are DOES NOT make you a racist as far as I'm concerned, remember it doesn't exist! It does however make you a realist, you don't choose to bury your head in liberal wishy-washy new labour views. Maybe if more people were less willing to give muslims the benefit of the doubt we would get Britain back to some sort of normality.

Alfie..........I know the moderates support the extemeists because I have read the Koran. Islam does not tolerate other religions. All non believers must be killed. This is stated over and over in the Koran. The extremeists are merely activists and operate with the passive approval of the moderates. There is nothing racist about this. All muslims want non believers killed because that is their Faith. Your Muslim "friends" will rejoice at your death. Please read the Koran, at least then you will be able to judge Muslims with a little inside knowledge instead of believing what your "friends" or The British Council of Muslims say.

Surely people who follow religions do so to different degrees. I am certain that not all muslims wish us nonbelievers dead, that sounds like dim BNP propaganda to me.

I know Christians that have had affairs, stolen and yet it tells us not to do those things in the bible, just cause the book says it soesnt mean they follow it all.

I would have a lot more respect for the Muslim 'moderates' if they'd have demonstrated against the evil,murderous London bombings with the same enthusiasm they showed when demonstrating against the publication of the cartoons.

errrrm I am sorry Bill Barlow. I am obviously new here and maybe don't know about your extensive research/ knowledge into islam but something tells me that what you have said earlier maybe a jargon. You've said that you've read Koran and it says "all non believers must be killed". If so, can you please tell me which chapter you've read this? I am just curious to know.
