it still does not work

Well done coobeastie, iIt works!

Some very valid points I think...........shame its not British.

His ghost is a bit of a prat.

Religion has caused more wars through the ages than anything else. I say ban religion altogether!
my goodness
Erm... what is your question? I don't agree with General Patton (whoever he is/was), if that is what you mean. Two wrongs don't make a right. Crime and terrorism doesn't justify the wholesale abandonemnt of human rights.

Do they actually know if this would have been pattons opinion on the subject.

If I recall correctly, your question was "What do you think?" I think 2 things:
First, I'm particularly angry that you post a link to a video that contains imagery of a human decapitation without warning about this. I'm aware that this stuff is out there on the web, but since I find it repulsive in the extreme, I have avoided it. You removed that choice from me, deliberately no doubt, since to publicise this fact would probably have resulted in the question being banned. That p'd me off first and foremost.

Second (and entirely unrelated to the above), the content of this video is an attempt to frighten those that may object to current military action. It's not just the military action either, what it is saying is that if you don't agree with our leader's vision of the future, then you are a fool and you should shut up. Dissent is not allowed.

If this were a parody of an Al Qaeda propoganda video while simultaneously poking fun at the Americans, I think it might be particularly inspired. However, since I'm pretty sure it isn't, I find it's message troubling. I'm not convinced by its message but I fear that some people that feel that current actions are wrong will be convinced that they shouldn't have that opinion because it is unpatriotic and will help us loose the "war on terror".

I think that link connects to an objectionable load of rubbish.

"There was never a good war or a bad peace." (Benjamin Franklin)

I feel kinda responsible for putting a working link on this now....

that was not my cup of tea, brainwashed b*llocks.does it make you unpatriotic if you dont agree with this war . i bet you could wizz round the web and find pictures of dead iraqis ,isrealis, africans of all sorts you name it you'll find them, set to the appropriate marching music and you'll get some soppy tw*t to sign up

anyway patton was better when she sang with kenny rogers

What I know about human rights in war zones is that human rights apply to all people at all times in all places - that's the whole point. That's why they are called "human" rights.
