Welcome to Scotland?
After a 100,000 re-branding excersise,
the Sottish government/parliament/executive or whatever they're
calling themselves this week, have come up with the mind-
blowing slogan "Welcome to Scotland"
Our future is in good hands, well done chaps.

Alex Salmond slated the previous welcome campaign that they had before the SNP were elected, quite rightly so I might add. I'm proud to be Scottish and it'd be nice to believe but I reckon it is a tad conceited to say that we are the best small country in the world to our guests as soon as they get off the plane. I know what I'd be thinking if I stepped off a plane in another country and read that.

RAGGY - I was thinking more about the UK as a place where you live, not the the aesthetics of the landscape. There are obviously some places that are pleasing to the eye.
Can you find where you have said anything nice about the United Kingdom as an entity, people who live here, its government, institutions etc.?

Ragged ass roman (whos really Welsh). Where does Brighton enter the equasion? (b) I am not old (c) Living in a 5 bed detached & certainly not council owned- how are you, my old Welsh sheep sh****er? Thought the Welsh reference might awake you from your slumbers. Not working again today? I have but one name, & if you can find a posting after 10pm I will be surprised, as you know i lead a full social life, unlike some.
PS I am not acquainted with flat dewlling, could you enlighten me? Is it an ancient form of Welsh combat?

Only in Glasgow---------------
Bono, the lead singer of the band, U2, is famous
throughout the entertainment industry for being more than just a little self-righteous.
At a recent U2 concert in Glasgow, Scotland, he asked the audience for total quiet.
Then, in the silence, he started to slowly clap his hands, once every few seconds. Holding the audience in total silence, he said into the
microphone, "Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies."
A voice with a broad Glasgow accent from the front of the crowd pierced the quiet ...
"Well, foockin' stop doin' it then, ya evil basturd!"
Anyway my image of B Right On is that it's full of ageing activists, hippies and gays.
