Gurkhas

I am pleased that retired Gurkhas now have the right to live in the UK. They have served in the British Army for many years and its about time this country showed its respect for them.

I used to work in M&S in ALdershot where they used to be stationed. I never met a Gurkha who was rude or inpolite in any way. They deserve to be allowed to live here because they served us well in times of need when they really didn't have to.
After all would any one on these pages give their lives in service of a country thousands of miles from you own home?

Gromit, in a way you are correct we dont.
However we owe a debt of gratitude to these people so there must be an exception. It will of course have to be setup correctly to avoid shed loads of free loading relatives piling over. Providing that is done then no problem.
I would dispute that Town Halls would have to put up another language. These people worked with the British and I think you will find they have a fair command of the local lingo here. Mor than you can say for the countless number of free loaders already here.
A suggestion, why dont we turf out the scum who have come here univited or abuse our hospitality then there will be plenty of room for these few.

I couldn't write much yesterday, had a match to play in, but yes jno, that news did make me very happy.
I have a Gurkha friend who works at the Union Jack Club at Waterloo, he was in Aden at the same time as me, although we'd never met at that time, and in the Far East, I won't relate the story, but two of them, from 10th. actually offered to kill someone for me, I declined the offer.
As for being a burden on the NHS, the NHS should be proud to attend them, and as for the cost, I said on a previous post. get rid of the Illegal and Terrorists, then the money saved, could be spent on the Gurkhas, hopefully, without anyone complaining.
