Why the hardship for women, men have had to work until they were 65 for years, one more year should not hurt anyone seeing that unlike in the past, these days people live for many years after they retire.
I also believe that women once had the choice of retiring at 60 or working on till they were 65

However I am very lucky that I still love my job and I want to carry on doing it for as long as they will have me. Could move jno, but I have only two years left to go on the mortgage so the end is in sight - the effort of moving (given that I have 4 floors full of Stuff, and I don't particularly want to move while I am in walking distance of work) is quite a deterrent. It would cost as much too to buy somewhere new - not really in the plan to move for now.
JL - I'm ignoring your bloke perspective thank you, you could go whistle if you lived in my house, my OH is an excellent cook.
