Question Author
hell no, I sincerely feel for the Libyan people DT,I can see this turning into a 'she doesn't care thread' wrong, I do care!
they know where Qadaffi is - a small strike (wouldnt add much to the radiation up there!)......or they could launch a proper SBS/US Velvets/Russian equiv hit raid and take him out, preferably alive but dead will be acceptable to.
we have no idea what these people are going through...and, yes, I know we should keep our noses out...But, well, it really makes me sad :o(
Question Author
if only DT if they could go in for him without harming his people, I would welcome this but he will carry out his threat of bombing innocent people which he has said he will do
I dont think there are too many rebels and/or good people around Qadaffi at the moment - he is known to live in tents in a camp......so a small strike (actually doesnt need to be Nuke - just one of those mega bombs that they should have used on that tailrat in Pakistan - or is it Yemen or Somalia now?
Question Author
mazie, me too, I just feel they are dealing with a complete madman who has nothing to lose
Where is next on the list Bahrain ?
Question Author
looks like it ASSAM
I know Bobbi....gets me so upset. We have no idea and yet we still moan about this country. I'd send all the moaners over there if I had my way !
Apparently the SBS were within 20 yards of taking out Hussein during GB War No 1 (Kuwait) - shame the authorities then chickened out - they thought he had sleeper killers in the UK, Washington and elsewhere to nail our leaders (Kings on the chessboard and all that). Bet they regret that now re the folk killed on both sides and the £/$ and all the rest involved.
A couple of dozen cruise missiles and about the same number of laser guided bombs would sort it out (and no troops on the ground). These things don't last for ever and they have already been paid for. Why not do something useful with them rather than scrap them in a few years time.
Question Author
mazie, I so understand you, it would be so easy to adopt an I'm ok jack attitude but there are innocents going to be killed in this and this really upsets me, I know people will say "it's war, it happens" it will be more like genocide
Has anybody thought of the fact Gadaffi is very popular with the majority of Libyans?
We should keep our noses out of it,look at the mess the West made of Iraq and Afghanistan.
Just leave them alone for funks sake.
Question Author
I feel it is too tribal for the west to get involved WBA,and look at the consequences if they do
The rebels have already stated "foreign" help is not welcomed.
Question Author
they are likely fearful what this man will do to them WBA
well if there is any going into be done, the Saudis and Egyptians should lead. Ok for Britain to give some logistics aid etc.

No gain without pain, Bobbi.......I also think that we need to be careful there is no genocide going on. Those Tw@ts B and B really screwed up on Iraq as they could have justified the war on that basis and just thrown WMD in for good measure. Within the first two weeks the Brits uncovered a grave of 500+ folk near Basra, and then the Americans found two massive ones (bigger than the above) north of Bagdhad and in the Kurds area......and it was well known that Saddam was mass murdering the Euphrates and Tigris estuaries fishermen as they were harbouring rebels and this was well before the war broke out.
Question Author
which is why I fear for these folk if they go in DT
Question Author
Looks like we are in there
10 for with 5 abstentions against, Oh Dear
