I have a bit of Irish in me, my Grandfather was Irish. Daniel O'Gorman was his name( I was named after him actually).
He came from Antrim, and there was speculation as to his parentage, so a mystery in the family, and no-one is telling either, so it makes it all rather intriguing, dontcha think?

May God grant you always...
A sunbeam to warm you,
A moonbeam to charm you,
A sheltering angel, so nothing can harm you.
May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
May your troubles be less,
And your blessing be more.
And nothing but happiness,
Come through your door.
May you have the hindsight to know where you've been
the foresight to know where you're going
and the insight to know when you're going too far.
Hope you like the Irish Blessings posted above for you all to enjoy :-)

I am a lover of all things Irish (well, not all - but let's not mention the IRA et al...) but it does seem absolutely bonkers that we English celebrate St Patrick's Day (well, most of my friends do - any excuse for drinking guinness, singing irish dittites & dressing all in green) - and yet we do not & cannot celebrate St George's Day for fear of upsetting other ethnicities. Madness.
