Once again I find myself as host as her Ladyship and his Ludship are on a Transatlantic meander to see the Son and heir and his fiddler floozy! To think of all the years I cared for that boy and the promises he made to me, that when he was grown, he and I....... But now look cast aside just like his blue fluffy comfort blanket.
Enough of all that, as the stately pile has been so quiet and the weather quite poor, I have fair excelled myself and the buffet sideboard is groaning with tasty treats of all sorts to suit all palates. A wide array of drinks too as is the rule.
This weeks guest tailcock is the Champagnzeeee, a very refreshing number with a hint of grout and a biscuity undertone.
For the waffle I have:
Blue glass rolling pin (small crack)
4 Lavender tea-lights
2 solar lights that only work in the day
Book of Sudoku (half done)
So a big welcome to members old and new. The Butler will take your coats, indeed be wary, he may take anything.
Tailcocks I can provide, Miss - nibbles are on the ginormous buffet table. You can't miss it. No, you really can't. It's over there. Absolutely heaving with nibbles.
I'm liking the taste of the gherkin sandwishes and would recommmend them also the pate (at least I hope it is pate) And I can't do the acute above the e.
Thankyou for the tailcock. What a beautiful table! So sad that it is retching. Or is it trying too hard to pull itself towards the door? Perhaps if I fill a plate with a few little sofas it will feel better.
Good evening, one and all. Hope everyone is well. I have just popped in for a moment or two of freedom from rustication. I find the fresh air of the countryside very tiring - or is it the Courvoisier? Nay matter :)
Right - the frog's back on his hook, the monkey's got some bananas & I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts.
I mean I've got a tray full of tailcocks - has anyone seen Matron. The rofl will need drawing soon & m'lady informed of her inevitable prizes by email...
