The Club is now Open

Welcome one and all to our Jubilee Weekend Club .

As I am sure you will all have noticed, we have got the bunting out and the hall is totally jubilantly decked. The red white and blue theme has been continued with jubilation throughout the building and even the stables have been repainted puce (which is the colour we got when we mixed the red white and blue paints).
Members who wish to identify themselves as jubilarians may do so by signing the Big Book on the sideboard in the lower lesser grand ballroom.

Tonight's jubilar raffle so far has for prizes:

1 silver jubilee mug (slightly cracked)
1 golden jubilee tea towel (slightly washed out)
14 Union Jack flags (all full size)
6 red buttons
7 white gloves (some pairs)
8 blue berets (the hats, not the men)

My apologies Ladyship. I humbly felt that having risen to the task with such grace, humour and dedication a small reward was in order. But if I have offended you I will give up my Fondant Fancy in Tenric`s honour.
so sorry to be so late joining you and purveying the glorious ruffles but ihav een occupied with jubliatioin thingies. please may i have some tailcock and two books of rifler tickets?

Must comment that you all seem to have been having a wondrously jolly time.

Of course you may leave early, tenrec. It has been an absolute joy to be your employer.
Thank you so much for your services and, of course, for your salary.
Apology accepted , gness...I get a bit touchy about people fiddling hte raffle.

Welcome lady janine to this most jubilant of evenings.
by and large yes, Lady J, except for Daisy, whose nose seems to have been put out of joint by me and I have absolutely no idea why.......anybody else read anything into the exchanges in the last 20 mins that could explain her rather (too?) strong reaction....
thank you tenrec. so kind of you to be so prompt. delicious brew.
What sort of books do you enjoy reading Daisy? I downloaded a really good one this week - didn't take me too long to read and I have another to start as soon as I get a little time to myself
it was still raining here a few mins ago but have closed the shutters in....
Thank you so much ladyalex. I'll get me goat ... no sorry, I'll get me coat, I think that last tailcock went to my head, sorry. Goodnight all.

Good night tenrec.
If you have left your tickets, we will keep your prize for you to collect next week.

The raffle will be drawn shortly.
DT will now go and peruse all previous comments. disharmony amongst us at the Mad over Fifties Club is unusual unwelcome and hopefully unwarranted.

ps did you see my comment to you earlier?
Night Ten - a job well done!
Good night tenrec. sleep well and thank you again for my tailcock.
hee hee which one? saw the blueberry one and responded and thanks

maybe an independent pair of eyes....even my poem reference was inert (unlike's gness's lust!)
night tenrec, and don't dream of crocs, or if you do, benign ones as he that floats in the Castle moats.
Thank you Ladyalex. Now if someone will roll out the barrel and help me up I shall collect the broomstick and make my way home. After collecting wiffle prizes of course.
Worry not DT. Has happened before and for no reason. You have been most gentlemanly and if you could just pull a little harder and perhaps lift the settle......
