Here we are again, another Saturday and we at Nungate Towers throw open the doors to all Mad Over Fifties.
For your delight and entertainment, tonight the Minstrels are back in the gallery playing madrigals and fugues, later they have promised us their own interpretation of the greatest hits of the Nolan Sisters - such fun! We also have the Freuchie Formation Dancers performing in the Ballroom. Tonight's tailcock will be the "Blizzard" reflecting the current weather conditions around the Towers. In addition to the customary, horses doovers and volly vonts, tonight the Hot Plate Special will be individual Chicken Pot Pies, for pudding Scoff has excelled himself and has travelled far and wide to bring us Baked Alaska (made with ingredients from that great state!)
In the rofl for tonight, I offer Last Year's Advent Calender (doors all opened)
bag of used batteries
1 ski
roller skates (one wheel missing)
A warm welcome is extended to all who dare enter here
Mammar, if you like I could have a go at removing the remnants of your hotpot from your casserole dish - I seem to have a knack for stains and removals of foodie bits from pots, pans and dishes
Good evening all, A bucket of blizzard for me if you please maam, for the roffl I have rear light lens for a 1960 Humber Super Snipequote[slightly cracked[i] and a bag of last years Christmas pressie tags [i]I have tippexed over the writing].
Hello Daisy, I hope you are well. What a delightful array of goodies you have brought for the rofl, I have my eye on that pen, I could use a left handed pen!
Please make yourselves comfy and I shall send Igor with the drinks trolley - anyone wishing a bucket lease let me know and I shall fetch the buckets up from the silver vault
Having a lot of trouble with the keyboard tonight, can't seem to rattle along as it keeps missing letters out and I have to keep going back - otherwise my messages would all be in shorthand!
Hi Tony, your usual bucket then?
Sib, if she hasn't answered, Queenie got the shoes!
one harness minus stirrups
one bridle
one rein (broken)
one ball gag
one shotgun, warped barrel
one ice skate (blade set backwards)
one New Zealand rugby boot (broken)
one copy of 50 Shades of Grey, only the dirty bits.
My device seems to be having problems tonight - I can see I shall have to pedal a bit faster.
Nungate, dear, help yourself to the casserole. Here, borrow my chisel.
Evening all and, Igor, only half a bucket of the Blizzard if you please. I need to see the road this week. I was in the ditch most of the way last time. Took me till Tuesday to get home.
Thankyou Excel, yes very well. Cold finally gone, although was possibly in danger of pneumonia coming home from visiting the family by train. When I rang Southern Rail to ask if there were any heating planned on the train this winter there was no answer to the question. Anyone got a spare hot water bottle? Other suggestions welcome.
Evening DT - only the dirty bits of "that" book? Haven't read it nor do I intend to, are there any clean pages? I've heard it's not terribly well written.
Here, Daisy, have the rest of my Zube. That'll warm you up. Nun gate won't mind having slightly less to rofl, I'm sure, especially as he seems to have commandeered the casserole
