Greetings from Snowy Nungate Towers.
A warm welcome awaits any Mad Over Fifty who braves the elements this cold winter night. For your entertainment this evening we are finally able to have the Ice Skating Gala, postponed from last week, so it's everyone down to the frozen lake later this evening. For tonight's hot plate special we have that old favourite Potage Bonne Femme - yes we managed to find another good woman! In addition, we also have a heartwarming hot pot, and the usual offerings of volly vonts and horses doovers and on the pudding trolley is a clootie dumpling with lashings of lovely custard!
In addition to their usual samplings of madrigals and toccattas, the minstrels will be playing a selection of Alice Cooper's greatest hits, and a small chamber orchestra have secreted themselves in the garden pavilion to provide the music for the ice skating. Also on offer by the lake will be mulled wine and all manner of hot drinks. Tonight's tailcock the "Snowglobe flurry" will only be available within the Towers as it is a somewhat potent brew, and we do not wish any of our guests to be seeing pink penguins within the Towers' grounds.
For the rofl we have an interesting selection of snow shovels and gritting salt
I have provided some nice cosy comforts for the those not taking part in the Ice Skating tonight. Of course we do have some "professionals" taking part in the Gala, but we here at the Towers thought it might be fun if our guests wanted to take part...
At least I am not getting paid for being inept. Would be lovely to whizz ariound an ice rink. Could that be my goal?
Must greet Sparkles, whatever your intentions. How many conquests?
Hallo Sparkles. Welcome to the mad house.
Can somebody please prop up Minty? She looks incredibly uncomfortable over there.
For the roffle - an empty jar of Nutella with free, well-licked spoon
A jar of vinegar that once held pickled onions - delish on your fish and chips
And a pile of once used padded envelopes that will come in handy one day
I see Confused qualifies adequately. Welcome!
Tony -a WHOLE car?
Have you brought all this year's roffle prizes in one go?
Who bought the chocolate? I love them and I'm off to buy a book of tickets for that alone.
