Well here we are again at the doors of Nungate Towers for tonight's meeting of the Mad Over Fifties Club.
On tonight's agenda, it's a case of anything goes!
The hot tub is bubbling away nicely on the North Tower for anyone wishing to indulge, (the mini bar up there has also been replenished) Both swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) are available for members use, as is the lake where the rowing boats are moored. Down at the beach the bathing huts are open and a barbecue has been set up for any members who fancy a bit of cooking alfresco.
Back within the confines of the Towers, the minstrels will be in the gallery as always, playing madrigals and toccatas, and in the ballroom our favourite local band, the Tone Deafs will be playing a selection of music for dancing.
Tonight's Tailcock the "Centre Court" conjures the Championship at Wimbledon in a glass - strawberries and cream, Pimms and pizza plus a few other selected ingredients known only to it's creator! On our Hot plate Special we have Queenie's favourite, Farmhouse Pasta (we went to a lot of trouble finding just the right farmhouse for this dish) on tonight's pudding trolley, we have pancakes with cherries jubilee, and ice cream. As always there will be a selection of volley vonts and canopies and sundry nibbles.
A warm welcome awaits all who dare enter these portals

Oooh Tony, what can I say,

Meg blushes. My best ride was in a Nissan 200zx, or was it a double D 40?

Both great cars.
Please Miss, I have a note from my Mum to say that I can't come tonight. X
Mr S took me out for a drink and a good sixties sing song,
now back home and cooking hot dogs and onions for everyone. X
I did send a box of Ferrero Rotten with a courier for the roffle. X
I the box was empty when you recieved it, it must have been the courier, (angelic look) it wasn't me.........honest, ( wipes choc off face )....honest. X
Have a good night. X
I've just done several lengths, Excel, but, as you have donated such excel-lent prizes to the roffle I don't mind doing a few more. It may seem strange to you that I have been swimming fully clothed but I assure you there was a very valid reason.
I am crashing - got a small intercostal rib strain and didn't sleep that well last night, zonking out now so I had better head off before I collapse into the moat with the piranhis.....

so will say night to all and thanks for the hospitality as is the norman!

Dtc xx to the gals, bottom of buckets to the boys.
How have you managed to injure your ribs DT ?.
I'm baaaack!

My goodness I pop out for a minute and all sorts has been going on!

How many lengths Mammar?

Poor DT how did you manage to hurt your ribs?

Sparkles, we believe you, I've set the dogs after that courier, they've picked up his scent ...... shouldn't be too long now before we catch him
Question Author
All bright and shiny and smelling lovely! eh Queen?
All scrubbed and shiny then, queenie.
yesh.....that would be thanks to your shower gel, I keep forgetting to take a new one in with me?

Just out of interest is any one flogging a screw in 40W golfball type light bulb in the Rofl tonight?
Question Author
Which one are you using? You'll need to put the light bulb on the shopping list
Is that in your bedside lamp for a guess, queenie ?.
Oh poor DT! Look after yourself x x
I did ten lengths, Nungate, which worked off a small bowlful of strawbs by my reckoning.
However, Excel has invited me to partake in another length or two so, who knows, I might be able to squeeze in a slice of pizza or a leg off a chicken.

hello queen

i can just beam back up to my new starship and fetch one for you if you like
Question Author
Oh well done Mammar. Did you know that strawberries are the only fruit that Queenie can eat without restriction? Well at least that's what we were told when she was diagnosed diabetic as a wee bairn! It's the only thing that she doesn't have to worry about apparently - the problem aries when she puts them in her sponge as a filling with cream and also when she tops off the sponge cake with more fruit and cream (but it's awfully nice though)
Yep Tony it is, it went poof on Tuesday night I think it was.

Good Evening Excel :D

If it wouldn't be a problem for you I would most appreciate it (better than using my main light which is of no use what so ever :( )
Queenies cakes sound great, nungate.
I've also found Jaffa Cake's (beats me) also have little bearing on my sugars and Banana's

i'll be right back with it

(flips open communicator) - excelsior to the bridge, lock on and beam me up
Madame is having problems with the broadband so if she suddenly disappears she isn't being rude it's her broadband. I've a feeling someone at BT willbe on the recieving end of a Nungate rocket come Monday .....
