Good evening and welcome to tonight's meeting of the Mad Over Fifties Club.
At the moment Nungate Towers are bathed in evening sunlight, which is reflected on the waters of the lake (which resembles a mill pond) The rowing boats are ready and waiting for members to arrive and perhaps take them out for a trip across to the island in the middle. Tonight's tailcock will be the Nonesuch, (there's never been anything like this before!) The "hot plate special" is my very own recipe for meatloaf accompanied with all the usual side dishes or salad! As for the pudding trolley, it is awash with delicious ice cream sundaes, all you have to do is choose your favourite. Of course we have, as always, a selection of canopies and volley vonts. The Minstrels are tuning up in the gallery ready to assail us with the usual selection of Madrigals and fugues, also playing in the ballroom will be our favourite local band the Tone Deafs with a selection of '60's covers! Such fun! The hot tub is bubbling away madly on the north tower, (naturally the mini bar has been replenished - well done Frank) the bungee is ready for bouncing, the gardens are looking splendid and it is a lovely evening for a stroll) The rowing boats are lined up and ready for use, as are the cars on the race track, anyone wishing to go for a swim both pools are fully set up (cossies are available)
For tonight's rofl I have : 6 rolls of tinsel
2 tons of snow
Sundry carrots (limp)
Bucket of coal lumps
Dozen Christmas crackers (6 used)
3 Barrels of Eggnog
Truly a fine pile of goodies tonight!
A warm welcome awaits all who dare enter these portals
Evening your nungateship, blimey you've done the full monty on the entertainment and refreshments ( as always ).
A bucket of nonesuch and a few vont volleys for me if you please.
For the roffle I have one ECU ( caput ) suitable for a Saab turbo, two toilet seats ( used ) and half a bottle of Guinness.
He's having trouble logging on again, and I can't remember what we did last time to cure the problem, if I sit and stare at it long enough it might come back to me.
He is floating around the Towers though (probably sulking in Belle's parlour) he might pop in but I reckon he'll be very quiet unless I let him onto my system
Evening nungate. Hi queenie and Tony. What a balmy evening.
So sorry to hear Igor is having a difficult time. Do send him my regards. Hopefully we can chat later.
For the rifle I have, a packet of Ryvita thins. Inedible. A box of assorted packets of herbal teas. Unpotable. A copy of The Lord of the Rings. unreadable.
Definitely need a Nonesuch.
Did you know that it was the name of a palace (without the e)?
Yes it did arrive but I have been too busy to watch it yet. Have earmarked a rainy afternoon. Too much to do in the garden (although it is very small).
Trying to build up my vitamin D.
I understand that Daisy, I often wait for rainy afternoons but I still don't seem to get around to watching my dvds - I have a pile of unwatched ones still to view I never seem to find the time ...
