Starting on a very personal note, THIS very posting is my 5,000th on AB. I expect my Blue Peter Badge to arrive through the post any day now ~ at the very least a brownie badge for one-finger typing and abacus bead sliding!

This will also be the third week in the reign of Queen Jan the First and the second week when she'll be launching her own posting. Last week, you will have noticed that AB was "acting up" as we were approaching zero hour, but Queen Jan the Calm coped well with the situation. Hopefully, no such problems will occur this week.

Jools...Jan brought a load earlier...but she ran off in case she got too tipsy and gave anything away!!...She brought a boot full...but of course the men cleared off with it to watch the rugby.
Strix is on another planet still after visiting Sarumite...and Crofter popped in but couldn't take it! others are still lurking...so be careful!..take thedrink slowly!

As usual these days I've got to the shrubbery just as everyone slopes off. Still at least I've made it this week, after a long absence. It's great to be back, even if all I can hear is snores with the occasional shriek of a phantasmagorical dream.
