Yes, a bit of a monster, but I didn't really start it.....whatisname was the culprit.....craft1948, I think...and he's been spending days with Diane 1954...she said so on this thread.
Talking of threads...where are my scissors ? Do you have them, x-ray ? I can see through you , you know, so don't try to lie......
Question Author
Grasscarp! This is not a Tinternet dating site.
Yes Grasscarp, you're right....know what you mean.
I'll stick with Quizzes and Puzzles......much more friendly

I know that "I can see through you" phrase ladyalex - it's been used in the shrubbery......but I make a lovely photo !
didnt realise you were four years old than me diane1954 I was born in 1950

i'd like a horlick later if thats possible

I'd do a quiz if one of you will give me my pen back
There is one ABer who I could fancy, but mainly for the size of his IQ you understand....... are we allowed to drift off the thread? I think at our age it is understandable. Btw your reading glasses are next to the sugar bowl in the cupboard.
smouse she is 4 years younger, or are you trying to prove you are eligible for this club?
Enough of this nonsense.....I only came on here cause I've done the Telegraph crosswords and scrabble puzzle and can't finish the quizzes I'm doing.
Better than chatterbank thouigh
Hey my lady, I have managed to escape. All I have to do now is to find a way out of this straitjacket. Anybody out there got a pair of strong scissors.
Question Author
We are allowed to do anything we like.....what was this thread all about anyway ? Was there a question ?
I don't have your pen , smouse, but I definitely have somebody's scarf.
Horlicks is OK but on no account can anyone have Ovaltine. I can't stand the singing.
PS Bet I know whose IQ you're lusting after....
Cant let you have sharp scissors in your present state, sorry!
Question Author
Baitress ! Hurrah ! you've eluded them! Just try to keep hopping in our direction and we'll untie you when you get here.
I'll get the kettle on again.
Ladyalex. It must be my black wool scarf. I left it under my seat on the Virgin flight to Chicago last week. (and this is true!)
Question Author
Bye bye x-ray.....but please leave my scissors before you go...we need them to release baitress.
Question Author
I'll give the scarf to baitress when he gets here and ask him to pass it on to you, grasscarp.
Now what about the rest of you ?
I'm sure there are other things that you have all found that could be returned. Get searching.
Did somebody mention tea ?
Oh there you all are. I visited another thread and couldn't remember the way back. Anyway I'm just off to get a port and lemon. Anyone else want anything?
grasscarp what club?
I though this was a thread about sewing with all this mention of scissors

Question Author
I'm not allowed alcohol any more.
Not after the incident which, mercifully I have forgotten......
You should keep hold of the string, Jan, keep hold of the string
Thanks for offering Jan. I am half way through a bottle of Azerbaijan wine that I was given this week. It is a bit like alcoholic ribena! If anyone can make it to Heathrow I have 3 more bottles!
Question Author
Oh my god. Grasscarp is a pilot.
Smouse - we can discuss sewing if you like, or anything else that takes your fancy. This club is in its infancy - and its dotage at the same time!
