The Club is now Open.

Welcome again, one and all on this wintry evening.
The fires are all banked up, the Aga is glowing and the warming drinks are almost ready.

Sadly the drawbridge has been frozen shut , so access can only be gained by skating over the moat.
Members are respectfully reminded to leave their skates at the door as the blades would play havoc with the parquet in the grand hall.

There are these prizes for tonight's raffle:

A fish supper. (Uneaten , still in it's original newspaper)
A hot water bottle. (Only one visible leak covered by elastoplast)
Two ounces of pink wool. (Double knitting...different batch numbers.)

Members are also reminded that the buckets in the downstairs conveniences are there for a purpose and are on no account to be used.

DSJ is it alive??
Thank you for the compliment m'lady. One likes to make an effort occasionally. Is it leap year?
im stuck inside the telephone box across from the moat..........mamy. why is your telephone number on the wall ? for the ruffle i have . 3 used xmas crackers (jokes intact ) i bare fairy, a tv licence for 1974. a rusty kilt pin, and a curling stone.
<<waves to anne>> Would be surprised if that was the only phone box with someone's number on it anne! I have to confess m'lady that my spiked gofing shoes may have chipped the ice in the moat, plus I did have a little squirt in the moat - for reasons of devilment you understand. Has anyone heard if alexanderd is coming tonight - I do hope so.

Good evening Annesquiffy. Try using the curling stone to break your way out of the phone box. We will be pleased to have it as it will complete our set. Remember to leave it outside, though. It won't curl properly if it gets warmed up.

Ena..I don't want to know about you squirting inthe moat. In fact, the least said about that the better.
I do not know if Alexanderd will be coming tonight or not. I thikn he's been having problems getting through all this snow.
Anne if I throw you a rope I could pull you across the ice, bring that card with you that has my number on , is too cold for that malarkey tonight
Hello all, just popped in to say.....hello all.
I have parked my broomstick in a proper fashion and have left my skates on the receptacle provided. Never thought I'd see elf and safety hitting the club.
I have brought a bottle of Domestos for the raffle, whoever made these things granny proof wants hung drawn a quartering.
Meg do have a drinky dear is quite perishing out there.
Hello miss meg - nice to see you. M'lady I squirted the de-icer in the moat - tch! And I am not talking foreign. I just happened to find a case of french wine at home - funny that, normally find it bottles, ne'er mind. Was quite delishus really, for french.
Thank you mamya, is there any mulled wine on offer?
Hi ena, you look stuning, alex will fall off his unicycle when he catches glimpse.

Hello, good evening and welcome, Miss Meg.

Thank you so much for the Domestos.....am in complete agreement as regards the locking devices.....they are sold as child proof, but, in fact, only children can open them
miss meg - that may be no bad thing, a uni cycle cannot be comfy for a gent like alexanderd. I would prefer he save himself for the dance floor - far safer. I have swopped my golfing shoes for my new dance shoes. Hope I can but contain myself for some music tonight.
No, there isn't an animal in the box. Disappointed? Where are the rest of the gang tonight?
Here I am, had a heck of a job to get the reindeer moving tonight. Have unfrozed the drawerbridge M,lady. Ena!!! Quite stunning I must say.For the raffle I have
a potato peeler and a cheese grater. If anyone suffers from corns they are quite handy
Smashing Alexxx Much better than the fish tanks people are raving about.
Good to see you. We thought you weren't coming.
Oh yes Meg mulled wine coming up.

Alex lovely to see you in your winter coat and thanks for unfreezing the drawbridge, now Anne may come across if she out the box.

DSJ is it edible
DSJ With the weather as it is I have a lot of work to do around the estate, Ladyalex is a hard taskmaster or should that be mistress?
Hello Mamy, has your halo slipped a bit?
Alex don't go listening to rumours dear, do have some mulled wine

Ena is so mulled she is almost a gherkin
