The Club is now Open.

Welcome again, one and all on this wintry evening.
The fires are all banked up, the Aga is glowing and the warming drinks are almost ready.

Sadly the drawbridge has been frozen shut , so access can only be gained by skating over the moat.
Members are respectfully reminded to leave their skates at the door as the blades would play havoc with the parquet in the grand hall.

There are these prizes for tonight's raffle:

A fish supper. (Uneaten , still in it's original newspaper)
A hot water bottle. (Only one visible leak covered by elastoplast)
Two ounces of pink wool. (Double knitting...different batch numbers.)

Members are also reminded that the buckets in the downstairs conveniences are there for a purpose and are on no account to be used.

If it's bigger than a bread bin could it be a fox/ Or perhaps a watermelon?

Is it Bits and Pieces...or , my very favourite...Glad all over ?
Sorry, I didn't hear the question first time around! Not animal, not vegetable. It's mineral & valuable. I'm going to sit in the corner now with my mulled wine and a mince pie that I found behind the sofa.
Hello Kate do have a drink while you are here, Miss Meg will tell you which bucket to use
Is it a lump of coal?
Question Author
A diamond bigger than a bread bin ?

Do we have enough security for that ?
You'll need to magnifying glass to see it but I'm told that the smaller they are, the more valuable they are.

Question Author
Glad you're feeling a bit better Slinky.
Enjoy your wee hauf, I'm certainly enjoying mine.
I've finished my wine but can't stay for a top up. I feel really warm inside now. You all know that I can never stay very late because the ignition on my broomstick is very temperamental in the cold weather. Now, when is the raffle going to be drawn? I always seem to miss it.
Oh Katy poor wee lass, you hauf when you like hun ♥
Aww kate, so sad (((((hug))))).
I'm confused, is this thing in a bread bin or not?
DSJ is probably asleep in the corner now, I'll be fretting all night.
Question Author
I'm afraid I have already forgotten 'them' next door. Your warnings have come too late. I am being noisy and garrulous and very happy.

DSJ...if it's not a diamond and not a lump of silver, is it a piece of coal for the fire ?
DSJ you said it was a small matchbox. You haven't pinched the one with the dead spider in have you? What a marvellous set of raffle prizes have you been turning out the cupboards under the stairs? I don't want to win the matchbox especially if it's the one with the spider. It might have only been hibernating.
