happy anniversary Neti and many more...we hit 35 years this year too...the first 34 are the worst lol. had a good sleep and feeling better thanks for all the support. I am on anti bis that make you sick if you have a drink so no booze for six days. If any of you ever need it done (I did as i would have lost all my top teeth otherwise, poor bone density) then it really isn't as bad as you might think, uncomfortable but not agonising...the bruising afterward is worse...DH is delighted as I'm not talking much ha ha actually he was more worried than me.
laters all, back to kip now
Good to know, Woofy, as I suspect I'll last longer than my teeth... They're all still there but they're 'thinner' than they should be, if that makes sense. My dentist says I've been too ambitious with the toothbrush and managed to wear some of the enamel off :'(

Thanks a lot Jude, I've added that book to my AdLibris wish list. (AdLibris is, like, our Amazon.) I see the reviews have been appreciative. For me it will be a very useful book!
A'noon each how are you all dangling? Sorry about the creaking bones, I'm still staggering my way through the 'to do' list...cards done, windows & nets are done...well, on the front of the house that is..the back can wait 'til New Year....http://www.pixdaus.com/pics/123947321

Better get on over to sainsbury's to check out this 25% offer before Jude buys it all...I sent for that tunic jumper from Next btw & it was rubbish, not worth half the price but the jumper for my bro-in-law is lovely, really good quality....it'll be even better when I've appliqued some Santas on it :o)

Lovely crisp sunny day (well it was)...hope it was better in Norwich yesterday than it was here & that much shopping was done ....(hmmmm?) http://2.bp.blogspot....M/s400/2OldLadies.jpg

Congratulations neti and Mr N! Hope you have many more years of keeping the shopping a secret & enjoy yourselves tonight. xx

Well done woofy, you're very brave but I'm sure it'll be well worth it....Charlie's got his teef sorted for xmas & ready to bite the postie

http://i49.tinypic.com/2e57cp0.jpg
yes Robi that's why I had mine done, you can't bite off an ear in a bar fight unless you have teeth!!
beem wizzing round shops today buying chrissy stuff...amazing offers at m and s and lovely ads this year, that Philip Glenister can trim my tree any time, can you tell i am feeling better
In case you have missed them
http://www.marksandsp.../christmas-ad-09.aspx
Ah yes the lovely Philip Glenister ..I nearly bought a book today .The Wit and Wisdom of Gene Hunt ,but I dithered .
Belated Happy Anniversary Neti .Hope you both have a nice evening .I've been married to the same man for nearly 37 years soon . 37 years of tidy tins, doesn't time fly :) He's not cruel Kit ,just sensible .One of us needs to be :) He's a very easy going man but if he puts his foot down it stays down .

Hope your toothies are a bit easier Woofy .I am awarding you the Biddy Medal for Dental Bravery .You'll have to share it with Charlie though .

Very nice day in Norwich .Did some shopping and had a nice lunch . Ever so cold though so I had to buy a scarf amongst other things . :) More shopping this morning in Yarmouth .
Tomorrow more shopping locally .I'm all shopped out !
I hope you are all creaking along nicely .I must make an effort and pack up some parcels ready for a mission to the Post office .
Over and out for now .
Evening Everyone. Had a good day today up to now. Went to visit, with my 2 sisters, an 80 year old cousin this morning who is so young at heart. She made us these lovely scones and mince pies and chocolate tiffin. I could only have the scones but they were great. I went walking this afternoon and I'm off to my local tonight for a jig. I hope the entgertainer is better than last week. It was a young woman who sang mostly motown which I get a bit bored with.
I'm so envious of you and your implants Woofy but very pleased for you all the same. I had crowns instead of implants as I was too nervous to go through with it even though the dentist advised and sometimes I wish I had what you had. Never mind eh!!!
Havev a good night All
Bye for now!!
A belated Happy Anniversary from me too Neti. We will have been married for 38 years next month!!! OMG!!

Hope your mouth soon feels much better Woofie.

I too had a nice day out shopping and a lovely Italian ;o) Trouble is the friend I went with dragged me protesting round the shops and I too came back with scarves and tops and books. My friend got herself the most incredible bargain. A lovely jacket for virtually nothing!!! It didn't fit me otherwise I would have grabbed it from her. No bags were purchased though!! - incredible!!!!

Had my hips and lats Xrayed today at Cromer hospital. A friend came with me - so a nice lunch out again, but only soup and rolls today. Had a look round Holt. Very beautiful town but very upmarket - full of county set folk!!

The sea was lovely and blue today and we had a nice drive along the coast.

Have a nice weekend folks.

xxxx
ooh, happy anniversaries to all - barely cracked 30 here, but as I'm the only one wh ever remembers them I don't suppose it matters.

And a special hello to woofgang

I've done all my foreign Christmas shopping - having spent so much time in bed sick, I ordered a calendar online with my own photos on it and sent it off to friends and relations abroad. They think they can escape my holiday snaps by being thousands of miles away but they are mistaken. Haven't bought quite so many pressies for locals yet though. I have been going to Borders closing-down sales and getting some cheap books for myself but that doesn't count. Uniqlo and Primark for cheap winter gear too, but I'm keeping that as well. Perhaps it is time I remembered that it is better to give than receive.
APOLOGIES TO ALL - feel very bad as I have misled you. Mr N has kindly informed me that we have only been married for 34 years (seems like forever). Sorry.sorry sorry!

But we still celebrated well if not wisely so am sitting quietly at home, doing (or trying to do) the DT Xword,
perhaps your other year was with someone else, neti?

We are lunching tomorrow with the parents of jno jnr's girlfriend... this sounds suspiciously important and I may have to have a shower and brush my hair if I am to pass any kind of test. Then we're going to Paris for a week. Apparently all the museums are closed by a strike so I'll have to visit shops instead.
Actually jno, the other year was with Mr N although (naughty things that we were) we were living together without the benefit of the clergy, so we've beenb together about 35½ years in all.
Shaney don't bother with the Gene Hunt book, its carp and tasteless carp at that.
We thought Holt was just the place for us (like we could afford it ho ho) both the delis were selling magnums of Moet when we were there...I am with Sir Winston who allegedly said "A magnum is just the right size for two people, one's self and the wine waiter"
Holt is only 12 miles from me Woofie. Very beautiful but full of antiques (including the people)!! Lots of expensive shops - even the food shops are over priced. We live near to Fakenham - much more of a working town and more down to earth and suits the riff raff such as ourselves!!

Jno, Primark? Really? Somehow I didn't imagine you to be a leopard skin leggins type!!! Enjoy Paris. x
I'm just the cheap type, Lottie...
Hi all, I'm going through some emotional sh1t at the time and every time I sign in here I find that all I want to do is write about it, tell you about it. At the sime time, I can't decide *how* to write about it, as other people are involved of course and even though I don't believe they read these threads well you never know do you and I don't want them to feel "betrayed" by my talking about - stuff. For now, I'll just say it's a kind of emotional relational damned if I do, damned if I don't situation and it's taking its toll. But, like Arnie and Jude say: I'll be back:)
best I can offer you, Kit

a wartime poster that has mysteriously come back into vogue.
he he! I knew you'd go all sentimental on me jno
Morning all - Sorry to learn of your troubles swedie, I just hope you get sorted soon.

I'm glad I live a simple life, my only problem is my child (and will ever be thus). I remember the time the "black dog" visited me, and the biddies were so kind and helpful and chased if away!! So chin up old girl!!
