Trying to muster up the will to go downtown but the weather is so uninspiring. Still not cold here but so gray and about-to-rain all the time. I'm going though, 'cos I want to get myself a dictaphone (the mini kind). I like to work with guided imagery and while I don't really need an external voice I'm interested to see whether it enhances the experience or not. If only the sun would come out...

Don't know if Sweden lost at golf, Vinny - I was referring to Tiger Wood's Swedish wife who smashed his rear window out with a golf club the other night, allegedly to get him out of the car after the accident.
Been playing with my little dictaphone, an Olympus VN-6500, cheap toy but it works:) Whenever I buy an electronic device, I like to start out by dropping it. Did so with my laptop, and with this little recorder too. I'm always nervous stuff won't work so I get all fumbly and things go flying out of my grip. But I have fast reactions so I usually manage to stick a foot out and mitigate the damage, ha ha!
Oh, speaking of Swedish wives, Terry Jones from Monty Python was on Skavlan the other night and he has one too:) Hope he doesn't have any golf clubs... He spoke a little Swedish!

Arrived just in time to wish Vinnie A Very Happy Birthday hope you have a great day and an even better night ! also a belated Happy Birthday to Kit , It's taken me over two hours to read all of the answers on this thread after finding Kit's e-mail.(I have nearly 700 e-mails waiting to be disposed of and I had to look through a fair few ) .Thanks neti for your very kind remarks about when I was younger -on the 1960's photo I had 3 children but by the 1965 one I had 4 !
I must say neti you are looking pretty good on yours and a lot younger than you are , in fact looking like my daughters ! I'd just like to say I'm sorry to hear of all the troubles you're all experiencing and I 'll be saying a prayer for you .
Mr.D and I are still breathing (just ) but not as good as I'd like to be .Still grateful for each day and it is now Summer here and flaming hot ,air-conditioners working overtime all day and nights are still too warm too. But my garden is managing to survive despite lack of rain ,Agapanthus in full flower as are my Amaryllis...to be continued later Love Dolly xxx
