Oooh you got in OK!! :o). I spent Thursday pm in child's garage holding up Fluffing strip lighting onto the ceiling whilst he drilled and attached and wired, etc. !!! Fluffing freezing I was and it was getting dark. To top it all, could even make myself a Fluffing hot drink and all the electrics had to be turned off. Such is life.................... Went round there again today and he was wiring outside lights. I rushed inside and refused to acknowledge that I might be needed again/

At least you and I (and probably Obbie too) have lads that are practical and can do such things.
Hope your brother's test results will be fine shaney. I just couldn't face my MOT on Wednesday as I had this rotten headache and felt all wrong, so now have to go next Wednesday. Never mind, have a nice day out to look forward to next Thursday. ;o).

Off to put my hottie in the Microwave and then going to have a kip!!!

xx
Hi shaney, 'Diane's' - that's the one I was trying to remember thanks. Good to hear your brother's in good spirits. Done a fair bit of torch holding in my time...but you must never, ever, EVER speak.....I think you know what I mean.

Well I'd like to thank you for looking for patterns for me Lottie but I'm still browsing that clothes site, grrr...there's something on every page...free delivery on orders over £60....I'd like to pay £60 delivery and all items free, haha
Wish I could gain some weight for the winter...I don't think I'll ever be Obese Wan Kanobi.
Hope you feel better soon, I think the sudden climate change's given us a knock

Well I really should go & eat...just adding that site to fave's
Evening, all. I don't think I'll be going down south again so shortly after my last trip so I'm not doing a lot of Christmas shopping http://i47.tinypic.com/6dvhww.jpg

Aww Jude what ARE you allowed to eat? What about the GI diet, would that be an option for you? They allow cheese you know...

Vinny you must get back here at once and do something macho, Lottie is calling you a poofter! Actually folks I think there may be more to Vinny than we have been aware of. That Jesus switch jno posted for demure biddies, I had it saved up too, hesitating to post it... so when jno did, I went to My Pictures to delete it so as not to mistakenly post jno's old jokes, and when I ran a search for 'Jesus', Vinny - inexplicably - came up! I swear it's true! Oh! There's an idea - Vinny just tell your old car to take up its bed and walk. Well it's worth a try innit.

Where are those Jill Bolte Taylor videos, Robinia? BTW our telly is doing a rerun of 'A Thing Called Love', they talk like you write, ha ha ha, it's very funny. How about you Jude, is that how you talk?

Lottie I often knit striped wrist warmers in that pink&gray colour combination. If you send me your address I'll send you a pair (and for anyone else too) but I'm a slow worker and I'm presently knitting a turquoise pair for my youngest half sis.
Well I chose my sweater from Dianes but the pattern and the yarn came to over £40.00!! Lovely patterns and yarns though Shaney. Back to that French clothing site! It's addictive as Obbie has found out!!

Evening Swedie!!
oh hi Sweedie, you just caught me before I dine... pasta again for tea [sigh] it's the nearest I'll get to an Italian...
I googled Jill B T & a couple came up and there are more on YouTube but I'm not sure if you can see them on your planet....That's so spooky I was going to see if A Thing Called Love is on dvd but I was distracted by wooly jumpers.... hahaha, they talk like wat I write? I think they've been reading our threads...
(PS and just the 1 for you Vinny, not the pair ;-)

Evening Lottie!
That's the trouble Lottie, it costs as much, if not more, to knit your own....but at least it's an original with all the dropped stitches, :o)
Evening, Robinia! Yes the way you write when you DELIBERATELY (sorry for shouting) write in an accent. Like excluding the 'the'. Or is there a great difference between Nottingham and Derby? / I'll check YouTube now, I had a look at her site earlier.
I have bought wool from Dianes girls .You don't have to have what they say on the pattern .They do a cheaper chunky wool .As long as the needle size is correct and the yarn weight .I sometimes just buy a pattern and convert .The wool I am using at the moment is from Wilkinsons ..99p for 200gms. But it's DK ..they don't have chunky .
I have a jumper on today that I knitted about ten years ago .It's a sort of flecky tweedy chunky with a cable pattern and it's sooo warm .
Norwich market is the place Lofty .There is a lovely wool stall and not too expensive .Actually there's a new wool shop opened in Yarmouth recently and I wanted to have a look but didn't get the chance with Lady Bracknell .But I might mosey on down there at a later stage .
I have to go to that Chinese shop as well to get bags ! My sis in law wants one for a friend and I need three ,one each for my old schoolfriends and one to send to Germany .

Yoohoo Kit ... Oi deer say them ole accents are suffin hard for Sweedies , :) Hev yew got a loight bor .......
Oh yes Bong Bing Robinia ..talking of AThing Called Love ..that rings a bell with me .Can you remind me what is was about and also do you remember a series yonks ago that was about these people who worked on a magazine .
For the life of me I can't remember the title .There was a largish chap who was in love with this girl who was a feature writer but she kept him at arms length while messing around with office lounge lizard but then realised he was the one for her .I can picture it all but can't place names or actors /actresses and Googling brings zilch .. I'd love to watch Underworld and Trust again ..but no ..nothing on DVD ....Roger Roger as well ..no DVD either .I really liked that .
I'm eating strudel with custard ....yum yum yum ....cholesterol heaven :)
Hello all. I don't quite talk like Paul Nicholls Kit. I am a Midlander. He is a bit further North by the sounds of him. When he says don't, over and words like that he pronounces it dornt and orver and I say the o as 'o'. I never actually saw that programme. I don't think Nottingham is much different to Derby except they have different expressions to us.

Love the jumpers especially now the long line is back they suit me better than the short ones. I'll have to go out and treat myself now my Christmas shopping is almost finished.

About my diet Kit I have come to the conclusion that all dieticians are sadistic beings. Mine just kept saying you can't have this and you can't have that until I was completely fed up. I'm tending to stick to my low fat low sugar one and a bit of the modified fibre one. If I stuck to what she says completely I would have such a bland diet it would be so boring. My weight is now 10.7 so I think I'm about right for my height.

Wrap up warm tonight Robi it's going to be cold. I have some wierd dreams sometimes. I've also been known to have the odd nightmare. Like the other night for instance I was trying to get Freddie Flintock in the mood He He!!! didn't work!!!

Stopping in tonight so it's a bit of telly for me.
So have a good night all of you !!
Can't figure 'bor' out, Shaney... "light bar" ...? Naah...? /Was Helen Baxendale in that series, the one you can't remember? Sounded vaguely familiar. / I can't tell you much about A Thing Called Love, I've only seen a couple of episodes. Image google, it's very useful!

...for instance, I image googled 'Freddie Flintock' Jude and only one photo came up and that was a zebra, ha ha ha! / Many scientists aren't as suspicious of fat as they were five years ago Jude, as long as it's natural fats and not transfats and the like. (The trick is knowing the difference, which isn't easy when food producers are under no obligation to declare transfats and hide them under terms such as 'vegetable fats'.) I ate very low fat for many many years and look where it's got me.

Jesus Mystery solved: The Vinny piccy that came up was a 'study' for this one that I posted here yonks ago http://i48.tinypic.com/1428mps.jpg which was a play on the cover for Jesus Christ Superstar. But it's still something of a mystery, 'cos I didn't name it J.C.S. and there's no 'jesus tag' either, when I right-click... so it's still a bit spooky =:0
Sorry Kit it should have been Freddie Flintoff.
http://www.newsofthew...ff_280x998_18202a.jpg

This is Freddie Kit. His real name is Andrew
That's a relief Jude. You *should* be more successful trying to get him in the mood than doing likewise with the zebra ;-)
Morning all - am being very debauched and using my laptop in bed as Mr N is playing golf (its a 2 day comp).

Thanks to you Lottie I actually dreamt that I was wearing a lurex (read that again Swedie!) purple and glittery it was!!!

Off to meet my gay male friend for coffee today - then to bring in a roasted (with herbs and a delcious stock) chicken and chips . what fat? can anyone else see that after my w's there is aspace and there's nothing I can do about it!!
Its ok, once the answer has been posted there is no gap after w!
Just seen this advertised on telly and I want one, and I want it NOW !

Aye up mi ducks...s'a murky ode day 'ere...yes Kit, a fair bit of difference between Notts & Derby....'specially on (footy)match day :o)

hahahaha...I can't stop laughing at that snuggie neti, I'm trying to imagine myself staggering round in it...hell fire, I'm clumsy enough as it is. I can see me standing up & Charlie dropping out of the inside of it & if I stood in the garden in a high wind I'd be in Norfolk in no time..... hahaha (me sides are aching)

hmmm, A Thing Called Love was about..... ermmmm, Paul Nicholls......and some more Paul.....and ermmmm...Paul. yummy.... :o)
Actually it was just an easy watch drama over a few weeks about life & young (tut) love, the accents weren't always spot on but the main girl in it was very good if I remember correctly. Sorry I haven't a clue about the office drama shaney...and I didn't watch the others you mention.
