He he, Swedie, glad I foxed you!!! Vinny knows what I mean. I also like a Thai on quite a regular basis!!
You must have worked it out by now.

It's a lovely day here and I have plans for being in the garden. Whether these plans will materialise or not is another matter. I actually bought some more plants and bulbs at the weekend. I am determined to skip Christmas and head straight into Spring. Baa Humbug. Christmas is the most depressing time of the year for me and I always look forward to the first aconites that come through in January. I quite like a nice quiet Christmas day with the family, a good meal and an exchange of gifts - but that's about it!!!

Think of me out there gardening.

Shaney I am thinking of you xxxxxx
ps The 'we need an Italian' was aimed at Shaney!!! She will know exactly what I mean!!! ;o)
Morning Biddyfriends. I feel for you Shaney and thinking about you. I think there are some very brave people about, far more than me.
I have been to town today to start my Christmas shopping. I bought my son a Mic Stand (He plays guitar and sings) and that was all I could carry so I had to come home and have to make another trip down but not today I hasten to add. (If I have repeated myself I'm sorry)
morning all...sorry a'noon...
Bitterly cold here, but bright 'n sunny.... it was the wildest of nights! (weatherwise I mean, calm down)

So sorry to read your news shaney, what a rotten time for your family - and these people who won't talk about their problems, eh? I suppose everyone deals with it in the best way for themselves, it just doesn't always look that way to an outsider. Chin up, feel free to off-load on here or by mail. xx

Kit I'm not worried about Charlie having missing teeth, (still has some front ones & canines) he's doing really well & having no problem eating his (now softened) food, I think it's better to have some missing than bad ones that are uncomfortable....and he says his modelling days are over anyway, it's all those stick thin designer chihauhas (sp?) they want nowadays, tut.
Love the pics, we used to have a lovely shop called Huckleberry Willow that I enjoyed browsing around.

I've just survived the dentist (hygenist) but she refused to do the filling, she said it was too big & deep & referred me back to the dentist...we've agreed on extraction, it's on my painful jaw side & I can't cope with a root canal right at the back. She's new, very knowledgeable about medical problems & very thorough (get down there Jude)...lordy I think she cleaned me sinuses & ear'oles from the insides while she was at it...I wonder if she does ovens. :o)

I exploded two eggs once Vinny, haha, I was on the phone & there were two almighty bangs...one was a metre away all over the window :o)
Chinese for me please, plenty of bean sprouts & soy sauce.
goodness, that does sound like a thorough hygienist, Robinia. All mine does is scrape out the lumps of raw cow that I've missed between my teeth.

Sorry to hear about your brothers, shaney. I suppose everyone has to decide for themselves how they're going to cope with illness, but it can be frustrating for those near to them. As for cameras... when I had my sigmoidoscopy they did actually screen the results- live - on a telly in front of me, and I tried to look but couldn't make head nor tail (so to speak) of it and was feeling too uncomfortable to concentrate on it.

For want of something better to do, I'm off to a German Christmas Market ... it's only at Waterloo, fortunately, and I can get there by train. Since it isn't dumping rain down at the moment I might as well get out of the house.

I caused an arcing in my microwave yesterday, it was exciting - like Bonfire night - was trying to melt the gregs of a peanut butter plastic jar, and I forgot there had been a silver foil top, and there must have been some remaining, it sparkled and boomed - I was rather terrified! but it was ok.

I'd love to visit a german market, even on the southbank as long as it's cold!
Just had to laugh Jno. when I went for my sigmoidoscopy I kept my eyes shut so that I didn't see the screen with my insides on and then when it was over they proceded to show me photographs of the ulcerated colitis that I had. That was a bit of a shock I can tell you.
Shaney, all this talk about Christmas markets has made me think. I have sent you an email.

Hope you are OK.

Well, folks I have just come in from the garden and I have thoroughly enjoyed a few hours out there. In fact, if it had stayed light, I might well have stayed out and knackered meeself!!! (scuse language). Just as well I came in.
Have put in some more bulbs and a few plants and had a bit of a tidy up. I must be mad.............. weather has been absolutely lovely all day.

Obbie, My little Benji has a couple of teef left and does very well. He can still bite me when I try to take things from him!!!
Obbie????
Now look here lottie, it's no good you and shaney secretly going off to Germany for an xmas market, we all have to come on the biddybus. Can't wait to see Vinny in lederhosen !!!!!

Yes ,that's just what I need Lofty . A forage round the Forum and a nice Italian :)
.Had mail from my brother today and he said that he's refused further treatment .No good me nagging at him .He's had health problems for some years now ,dicky ticker ,prostate, usual arthritics and his sight has degenerated with that macular thingummy .I can understand that at his age he doesn't want to be pulled about Thinking about it my pa in law was that age ,with the same thing when they operated and it was all futile and he died shortly afterwards .
.Hes' a lovely brother though even if he did shop me in to my Dad when he copped me in the High Street when I should have been at school and caught me in a pub drinking ,under age :) Of course it's many years since I've actually seen him but we've always kept in touch and of course these days with email and webcams he doesn't seem so far away.

You are all very kind and thank you for your kind words .We'll just have to see how things go .

Very brave in the garden Lofty ! It's been blowing a gale all day here too but quite mild and sunny .
Hope you had a nice time at the market Jno .
Yes ,have that tooth out Robinia and be done with it .Nobody will see the gap at the back :) It may ease the jaw pain .
Now I know why breakfast doesn't turn up on time these days .It's all exploded round Woolly :)
I'll have to knit you an egg timer Vinny ......to go with your lederhosen :) You can tie it to your bufferer.
Take care folks xx
Well the thing is, even though we suffer for our siblings, we would never rather have had a life without them!
the market wasn't really up to much - perhaps it's too early. There were lots of vacant spots along the riverfront, where maybe they're expecting other stalls to set up later. In the meantime there's just an icy wind whipping in the gaps, probably straight from the North Sea. Probably straight from Stockholm, in fact. I thought I could hear faint reindeer bells jingling when it blew. Oh well, I got outside and got some very fresh air.
Nope, weather here is very mild, jno. Raining but mild. I went to a lecture tonight, it was the António Damásio sort of thing, you know, neurobiology, the mind, emotions - it was great fun, I'm feeling quite high-spirited. Could of course also have something to do with the caffeine pills I knocked back before the lecture, knowing what I'm like when I have to sit inactively for hours. Lemme tell you they worked...!
Caffeine pills ????
Nooooo..she'll be up all night now giving us a rousing chorus of
Ack, Värmeland, du sköna, du härliga land....
That old Zen clock will have it's work cut out in the morning :)

That doesn't sound very efficient for the Germans Jno :)
Wheee...! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-adUYvCvBTM Beautiful song isn't it Shaney but I didn't like Värmland much when I lived and worked there for a couple of summer months in the eighties. Upcountry, dark forests. My fondest memory is, when biking across a bridge with a friend, I saw beavers at work in the river. We got off our bikes and stood there watching them. Never seen beavers before and I've never seen them again but they're common in the province of Värmland I think. Ha ha, my eldest sis and I were talking about beavers a couple of weeks ago, we are both impressed by how complicated their dams are, how they build different rooms for different purposes. Sis says: "They've got their bedroom, they've got their nursery, they've got their study" - cracked me up, I don't think they've got A STUDY!
(PS the photos on that YT clip aren't Värmland exclusively.)
Shaney, there are some emails. I had a funny turn!!!!
