well, I imagine the actual organisation was British, shaney, and the Germans just turned up with their wares. Some nice craft stalls and some overpriced snacks (which mostly didn't appear German and probably hadn't blown in from any further than Essex).
*Kit comes down in a haze from caffeine high, thinking "...or were they otters..." * Yes I think they must have been otters, the little fellas we saw in Värmland. It's just I had this feeling they were working and otters don't work much do they...? But they weren't floating on their backs holding hands either like those YouTube otters <3 ...but yes I think they were otters. (It's more than 25 years ago...)

Robinia, do you remember when I posted the Swedish talk show with the Norwegian host so y'all could watch Christian the Lion's Dad, you were taken with Jill Bolte Taylor, the brain scientist who had had a stroke? The lecturer yesterday talked a lot about her book (My Stroke of Insight), she said it's a fascinating read. There was another fascinating guest on Skavlan last week, Kerry Max Cook, who was in prison for decades and on death row for a murder he didn't commit. Here's a link, it's viewable until January 3. Cook comes on at 32 minutes. (Shaney can you spot the other Norwegian, besides the host?) http://svtplay.se/t/102974/skavlan
here's something that got posted on another thread but should probably suit the more demure sort of biddy

Oh how very rude!!! :o)
Go, rinse everything with soap and waterJNO !!!!!!
Good morning Folks.
that was some noisy bloody night and its still raging.O ne hell of a storm coming in off the celtic sea.Hardly got any kip and when I did I dreamt I was caught in a snow blizzard.Hail sure makes a lot of noise.Hope you are all okay.later...thanks shaney but could you knit me a willy warmer instead..:O)
orning all - sorry but it's a lovely calm sunny day here and the night was quiet and silent!!

I bought a puzzle book the other day and it's printed in Devon, well I can't get any of the questions right - never heard of alf of 'em - are they grockles down there?? Over here they'd be girries!
looks like a dry day here, which is just as well as we've got a man coming in to realign all the guttering (so the water goes down towards the downpipes rather than up away from them ), and it wouldn't be helpful if it was actually raining. I'm told that in some houses the drains are at the lowest point so water will run down towards them? Not outside our house. We have our drains up high so they don't get wet.
mmmmm - jno was the house designed and built by an Ibicenco person, sounds very like them!!!!
Morning all.

It was lovely and sunny last time I looked out the window. I just looked out again and it's grey and yuk!!

Oh well.

See you later xx
just been chatting to dolly on the internet, she is really lovely and was so attractive when younger!
How can I email the Ed can't see to find a contact us anymore.

BTW bought 2 boxes of beautiful xmas crackers today (20 in all) as they are few and far between here. Cost me 20€ so not too bad.
she was attractive when younger... but how kind of you, neti, bet she's flattered! Have you been getting a delayed transmission that set out towards Ibiza 30 years ago, so you can see her as she was in her prime?

Isn't there a 'Contact Us' link right at the bottom of the page?
Saw her photos of her in the 50's I guess it was with her siblings - really charming.

Do you know that on my desktop there is not a contact us, but here on lappy there is, how strange is that!!

No one else around??
Hiya I'm here. Had a busy day Christmas and ordinary shopping.. I'm pleased you have been chatting to Dolly Neti. I was wondering how she is as she's not been on here for a while.
I'm off out tonight for a bit of entertainment with my friend.
I'm a bit fed up actually as I went to the dietition yesterday and she didn't know I had coliitis and has said I must go on a modified fibre diet as well as a low sugar low fat. There'll be nothing left of me in a bit. So I'm a bit cheesed off. OOOhhhhh cheese I love it.
Hope you are all ok and that you have a good weekend.
See yer ;later 'gater(s)
Dietitian or dietician just looked it up in the dictionary !!
Good moaning.

hello hello, they're getting frisky down Devon way

http://news.bbc.co.uk...and/devon/8380785.stm
haha, well jno, it would have taken me forever to see that as they suggest...lets hope no one removes the 'b'.... :o)

Morning all, It's Obbie (lol Lottie) 'obbling in here...me knee's gone - it goes out more often than I do - and I'm totally exhausted. I think the week's worrying finally caught up with me, I've been dragging myself about like a sack of spuds...ok, very little spuds, but you know the feeling. Charlie's doing ok but smacking his mouth a bit today, I hope it's nothing else to worry about. Maybe it's that tingling healing you get after tooth removal?

Yes Kit I remember Jill B T, I think I'll go & watch some of her videos, I could do with someone to unscramble my brain right now. I went to bed last night, trying hard to be calm & positive, but I couldn't sleep. When I finally did drift off I had the mother of all horror dreams, all blood & gore...I don't watch/read horror so where on earth does it all come from? Even if someone asked me to make something up, there's no way I'd have come up with that :o(

It's turned cold with avengeance but the one glimmer of hope is that the winter honeysuckle's coming into flower & that means a tolerable winter...trust me, I'm a garden doctor...

look out...Vinny's in the kitchen again...

Sorry 'bout your car Vin, you'll have to use the biddybus
Afternoon all - poor robi, Mr N's knee has popped out of it's socket (do they have sockets?) well anyway it's gone and he's limping and looks like the Rainman. Lovely sunny day here, only wearing blouses - not the sort of blouses that old wimin wear!!! and jeans ofcourse. Today is the annual local English church bazaar ( and boy it is bizarre!) not much there at all, considering that I don't do secondhand if I can help it. Got a silver chain and bracelet for daughter for xmas stocking and two bamboo blinds - no, not for daughter's stocking!! It was really quite expensive, so have decided to buy myself a cowl neck sloppy joe from Jack and Jones instead of wasting it on the church!

Orf to do the Daily telkegraph crossword - spect shaney has done it already!!!!
