Asda have introduced a new rule (which I did not know existed) which means that a customer can only claim the Asda Price Guarantee cashback 10 times per month.
That will make the other supermarkets happy, I think.

All these gimmick non-guarantee are not really worth much. One of the problems I encounter is that 'they' don't have the same item so it can't be compared. The rules are not easy to understand and with Sainsburys in particular I don't spend enough to get a voucher so lose even if I buy items that I could have bought 50p cheaper in ASDA. I prefer cheaper prices without the gimmick. Tesco Express sold all the tins of chocolate/toffee sweets for £1 cheaper that anywhere else that I could find for at least 1 month. Did ASDA give many £1 refunds?? Today Tesco Express box Family Circle biscuits for £4.00 same box in ASDA £7. Sensations crisps are cheaper in Tesco Express as well. The secret is to only buy the offers. I don't trust the supermarkets they also leave out the 99p shop and Poundland where some of the stuff is cheaper also. So in the end it is not as simple as price checking and go to one shop and they will match the prices for you so you are better off. I don't think so.

Thank you sometimesit for your exposure of supermarket tricks.
I can't be bothered faffing about with price comparisons anyway - we buy nearly everything on special offer. What you do have to watch out for is "Two x 12 of Cola for £9" - "24-pack of Cola - £8"
