Lavender Oil

Can anyone recommend a good lavender oil please? I've bought them in the past and they just didn't smell right somehow. It's mainly for refreshing wheat packs, pillows etc.

Baldwin' s of the Walworth Rd in London ( not far from the Elephant and Castle) are true herbalists and do a postal service. They will make it clear whether they are selling the true flower oil or artificial versions.
By the way, they sell wonderful Pot Pourri oils and lots of other perfume oils.

I love perfumes....Oh sorry Good Morning Biddyfriends. Found you at last thanks Robi. I forgot to look in myYahoo.
I have had Chanel No 5 and Paris as presents. They're great. I usually us Obsession but I'm getting a bit fed up with it now after about 10 years of it.
It's quite mild here again today. Wearing my thin Berghaus to the Sains. My appointments this week are this afternoon and Wednesday morning. I have changed my school day to Wednesday afternoon. I'm really looking forward to it again. I really enjoy it.
I hope you are all ok and you enjoy your trip to the Shard Jno. I'd love to have a look at it.
Hope your eye is getting less sore Neti.I've no idea what it can be unless it's an insect bite or something like that.
Goinbg to watch Lewis tonight it's that start of a new series. I don't watch much telly but that is one programme I don;t mind watching if I've nothing better to do.
Laters 'gaters!

a'noon ladies in lavender...what a dreary day again, I've no incentive to do anything.
Well I suppose The Paradise and Mr Selfridge have similarities neti but the first is fiction and this one's about the real Selfridges...no doubt there's a bit of jiggery-pokery with the story somewhere along the line, there usually is with these things.
Jude I used Obsession for a long time. I've got some Chanel no 5 and my sis bought me Shalimar for xmas, I like the old classical whiffs....I must have a dab of Evening in Paris later :) Not sure if I mentioned it but a neighbour gave me a tiny bottle of La chasse Aux Papillons by l'Artisan perfumes and it's absolutely lovely....at £55 for a 50ml bottle it should be.
Lottie...don't tell us it's 'old lady's perfume' or we'll squirt you with it :)

he did better than Whiteley's, though - I wonder if they've ever filmed his story?

Have just watched Mr Selfridge and it is so similar to The Paradise but much more entertaining, I'm loving' it! When I fled my abusive partner in '71 I borrowed Diana Day's (Beauty editor of Woman) pènthouse flat in Balderton st right opp Selfridges and I remember venturing out to go and look in the store, holding my breath incase my partner found me (of course he had no idea I was there, he thought I was still chained to the kitchen sink!). I appear to have memories of lots of shops!
And Whiteleys was where I went on Wednesday afternoon in 1973 to get my nose pierced as it was the only place to do it in those days (I was over from Spain) and it was half day closing so I missed it, then everyone got their noses `pierced so I didn't.

You can squirt me if you like. I am now using my bottle of Chanel No. 5 given to me at Christmas three or four years ago by SIL. It makes quite a nice air freshener in the loo!! I am being serious.
Am now coughing for England, but it's not on me chest, so keeping my fingers crossed.
See you later xxx
