Can anyone recommend a good lavender oil please? I've bought them in the past and they just didn't smell right somehow. It's mainly for refreshing wheat packs, pillows etc.

Baldwin's of the Walworth Rd in London ( not far from the Elephant and Castle) are true herbalists and do a postal service. They will make it clear whether they are selling the true flower oil or artificial versions.
By the way, they sell wonderful Pot Pourri oils and lots of other perfume oils.

Morning, had to get up early to get slñow cooker on, don't think much of that, so had put it on "medium" to see how it copes. Off to see doctor at 12.30 for check ups etc. Must rush meeting friends for coffee in half an hour (10.30 here!)

Morning all...what a rotten shame jno, it's just as January should be here, crisp and frosty, sunny, not a cloud in the sky and lot of birds coming in to feed. I hope you manage to see further than your nose.

oooh, so many socks, all in pairs....thanks woofy. Looks like there are plenty of knee-highs, me & sis like them in winter and there aren't a lot in the shops for some some reason.

Sorry I can't help any biddies in a tizzy with their technology.
Back from coffee and doctor's. he says i am a dynamic person and he wishes all his old patients were like me, but bp is high today (cos I was ekeing out the meds as I didn't have enough and card needed to be recharged with prescriptions!) And no worries about forgetting things, its natural, he does it too and he's only 40+, so blood tests once a year now, so will be trotting off in Feb for those grrr! Lovely sunny day, I was sweating in two thin cotton sweaters so took one off. Still got a lump on my eyelid and it is sore but didn't mention it, if the medico can't see it then it can't be that bad. Sox all nicely paired (except one!) and stuffed into sock drawer! I am very virtuous!
Yes jude in Control Panel there should be a printer sign go into that and cancell any printing that is there, if one remains, go into help and just click next , it should clear and then you should be able to print.
Woofy any ideas, I have blocked my new computer nd it won't accpet my password. And if I get onto the main page it won't open any tiles, what can I do??? Idiotic of Ibiza
Question Author
well neti it's comforting to know you're not dynamic in every way ...makes me feel less incompetent.
shaddup!! not my fault, its this stupid bl**dy laptop, hate windows 8. I am dynamic but these machines just cannot keep up with me !!

grrrr, kicks candle out of the flaming door!
How confusing a load of other related questions at the end of the thread. I thought we had been invaded!!

Cold thing is still hanging about, together with tummy upset and I am so, so very tired. Think it must be the same virus as you had Woofy. :o(

Have been shopping today with Mr LL and his friend is round this afternoon, so I have made a big effort to stay awake.

See you later.

back from the Shard, the sun did come out after a while, and we were not exactly under the skies, just the corners of the top deck may get some rain or snow, the rest is covered. It is still not that great a viewing platform as the glass on all sides still had rain on it as well as reflections on the windows, so my photos are not world-beaters. Then had lunch in Selfridges with sisses, then went on the Thames cable car with one sis while other was having hair done, then left them both to continue shopping and came home. What a social whirl.

oh dear... if you look at this post

you'll see this biddy thread has been harvested and attached to the end of it. Who needs the publicity??
Hmm How annoying of the proles to invade our privacy.
I can't he; atm wth your laptop Neit but tomorrow I will flash up DH's old one and try to find out how to recover the password. Are you set up as an administrator?
Lottie its dire isn't it? I did absolutely nothing yesterday but it did me good, we went out today and I did some cleaning and have bought some prawns for tea. Feel weary tonight but not worn out.

Pleased you had a good trip & saw some sunshine jno

well I don't like this added mess at the end of threads and I'm in an even worse mood than neti now... is there anything left to kick?
Thanks woofy, no worries, it's sorted, went back to shop where we bought it (not a computer shop) and I had downloaded Ares and it buggered up the whole thing, 2hrs they spent with me, clearing one thing and another and now it is in English yippee so I can understand most of it. Just hope it stays this way.
I am informed sis's hairdo cost £200.

Ooh, look, there's a couple of crumbs on the floor, into the stew they go for dinner! I'll just go and pick a few blades of grass too.
what????? I pay 25 quid every 5 weeks plus tips and I think thats an extravagance! Neti I stick my slow cooker on at about 12.30 to 13.00 for dinner at 18.30.Glad your lappy is working again, what's ares?
Question Author
I don't know my head from my ares.

Well I've never paid anywhere near that for a hairdo...but as I keep saying, people spend a fortune on their homes and cars, why not be extravagant with yourself once in a while. You only get one you.
I spend about 12€ every 3 or 4 months on my bonce.

Curry was very nice but Mr N said the meat wasn't as well cooked, well it was so there!! next time I'll do it later!

Hija probably coming home end Jan :-( look I love her but she is a nuisance.
sis's new husband is well off to an unnecessary degree, and lavishes it on her. After a lifetime of romantic mishaps, I am pleased she has found Mr Right, who is also Mr Big Spender. But it is the first time I have heard of a hairdresser charging per hair.
