Can anyone recommend a good lavender oil please? I've bought them in the past and they just didn't smell right somehow. It's mainly for refreshing wheat packs, pillows etc.

Baldwin's of the Walworth Rd in London ( not far from the Elephant and Castle) are true herbalists and do a postal service. They will make it clear whether they are selling the true flower oil or artificial versions.
By the way, they sell wonderful Pot Pourri oils and lots of other perfume oils.

jno at least you are out the other side and the worst is over. Don't stint on the pain relief. Me and the dogs had a lovely walk this morning then a good sleep and we have just been over to the waitrose that I get my deliveries from. I like to go every so often for some recreational shopping. Came back with some nice joints of meat for the freezer, lovely cold meat and posh cuppa type soups and pot noodles. It is seriously amazing how taking a day's rest helps get over a virus.
Shaney I hope you are feeling better today and glad to hear that Mr S is bobbing along.
The weather has gone cold and grey here...good cosying up weather.
Robi, my thoughts were the same as yours re the bean........
yes, I think that's it for now, woofgang, I am going for a checkup on everything in a couple of weeks but unless something suddenly goes wrong I should be okay for a while. I will get my final (??) implant in April - the implant itself is there, the crown is not and then hopefully nothing more until... well, the next time.
Pleased to hear that it went well Jno and hope the pain soon eases off .Take it easy .No Shard climbing for a few days :)
Oh how I wish we had a Waitrose Woofy .Feel better today thank you .I think it was just tiredness ,IBS and general fedupness:)
jno, have just been brave enough to read about your procedure, ouch, rather you tan me, take care!
Hi All.Yes Jno take the painkillers like Woofy says. I feel for you. All I had was 4 crowns and I didn't like that..
Pleased Mr S is ok Shaney. It must be a bit of a pain having to get to the smallest room pretty quickly. I have to quite a lot :). Hope you're feeling better too now.
In fact all of you with probs get well soon.
I'm having a bit more than usual discomfort in my wrist and arm at the mo. It's the gym corner that's doing it. Pulling and pushing the bar up and down but it is doing some good I think. Wont be long now before I'm being discharged I expect.
Loved school Robi. It was good to see how well they are doing with their reading. I am on the second year with about half of the class.
One lad read the word laugh and we discussed how the letters together made the sound fff. When I asked him what other letters made that sound he came straight out with p&h. He isn't English and couldn't speak much when he started here last year. I think he's amazing.
I've bought a coat from Tesco on the internet and collected it today. It was reduced in the sale twice and I got it for £15. Military Style Pea Jacket whatever the Pea means!. Not sure how I feel but I'll make my mind up when I've tried iton properly.
Also in the process of getting in touch with the Royal Mail as while I was away for a couple of days they forced a small parcel through my letter box and sprained it so now it doesn't shut properly on the spring. I think they owe me.
That's all for now I hope you all have a good night. Keep warm and cosy. Turn your heating up^^^^
See yer later 'gater(s)

Oooh, ouch jno, hang on in there, keep the painkillers in your system. Does that mean we might see you on the old box in the corner? Can you give us a wave or shall we just look out for the one with the pained expression?

Well it's good news that MrS has no new problems shaney, and you never know, things might just improve for him this summer. Look after yourself too. The mist never completely cleared here either, it does make everything feel worse.

Heating's up jude, I've been lolling and watching Lost For Words, I'd forgotten how good it was. The writer, Deric Longden, is very ill with cancer now.

And they're making Bob the street cat's story into a film.
silly, isn't it, my father had no teeth (he had them out for his 21st), my son has no fillings. I've been okay most of my life but am now replacing mine one by one with pieces of hyperexpensive unobtainium. Gave the stargazing a miss as it would be cloudgazing tonight and I can do that any time.

Jude, apparently pij is a Dutch word for coarse material, so that's where pea jackets came from.
Oh jno I used to work in the office of a telescope manufacturers (in fact I was the office!) that was when i met Patrick Moore several times but I was just like a mosquito to him :-( but I knew Peter Quaiffe from the Kinks, and Big Jim Sullivan (Tom Jones guitarist) they were all into astronomy, wish I had paid more attention now!!
I used to wear real sailors pea jackets in the '60 as I did my own thing in those day, they were little stripey jackets and everyone wanted them, they were my bros, it was the time of the gondola baskets!

Please excuse any funny little signs or letters which crop up but am now on spanish keyboard and it is a bit different!
Thanks Jno. Here it is http://i48.tinypic.com/29vcl6w.jpg Not bad for £15. It has a decent lining and fits ok.
nice jacket...If i had it, it would quickly get an additional embellishment of muddy nose prints.
very smart, Jude
oight oight all
Nice jacket Jude .
Oh that's sad Robinia .I've read a couple of his books .
I just watched Metroland .I've seen it before but it's lovely .
Oight Oight folks .Sleep toight .
Hope your teeth are less painful tomorrow Jno .
Morning all biddies, I didn't make it to zumba as bottom is aching still so thought it best to give it another week.

Will maybe go and get hair trimmed (at 12€ and not a penny more). Nothing much doing here today!

Morning each, zero degrees again but at least I can see down the road.
Ache like hell but I might pile on a few layers and amble out....

my lip is still swollen, maybe he secretly botoxed it. But I might wrap a scarf round it and go out. There's a nice old silent movie on about London I wouldn't mind seeing.

oh no, not a wonky trout pout...600mg of ibuprofen might help. ;o) Hope it doesn't hurt too much and don't let the cold get at your mouth. The sun's come out here, woo!
good morning all, I am back to sleeping for england, turned off the alarm this morning and we all accidentally went back to sleep. Its cold and bright here.
Good morning all. Off out for lunch today with my neightbour friend I haven't had a chat with since way before Christmas. Really looking forward..
Hope your mouth feels much better soon Jno. Keep taking 'the pills'.
Woofy I woke about 5.30 then went back to sleep and didn't get up til 8.00 most unusual for me. I was so snug and warm. I'm up and about now though.
After my lunch I'm going to walk round the ringroad to Sainsburys and bus back. what do you reckon Robi! I really do have to get back into walking again and I thought that might be a good start. Hope you get out as well.
Hope your 'bum-ache' goes soon Neti. I don't know of any Zumba classes round here or I might be tempted as I haven't had a good jig about for ages. Definitely no R & R since my friend got married. I miss that.
Hi Lottie How yer doin'? Hope you're Ok.
I'd love a Waitrose round here Shaney. Even if it was only to just go in and have a look which would probably be the case according to my purse!
