Can anyone recommend a good lavender oil please? I've bought them in the past and they just didn't smell right somehow. It's mainly for refreshing wheat packs, pillows etc.

Baldwin's of the Walworth Rd in London ( not far from the Elephant and Castle) are true herbalists and do a postal service. They will make it clear whether they are selling the true flower oil or artificial versions.
By the way, they sell wonderful Pot Pourri oils and lots of other perfume oils.

Lottie, what an idiot, if thats the case I have lost a huge chunk of my garden by fencing off a bit for the tortoises and using the existing fence as part of the enclosure fence!!
I have done my planned work today which is something of a miracle. Part of it was trying to repair a model junk that I bought on my first journey to Hong Kong with DH. Its been packed away broken in the loft for years. I unpacked it, looked at and went "you know what, I have plenty of souvenirs of our travelling years and this is a dirty broken piece of tat that I will never display as its a booger to dust" So I binned it. It felt great.
Hello again. Having a read of your posts while watching Liverpool beating Man city on my lap top. Oops they've just equalised.
Lol Lottie. Thanks for reminding me about my nurses uniform. I forgot ;)
I completely understand about the 'heaps' I used to sit in cold water in the bath cos I used to scratch for England and it made them worse all the scratching. I used to do what shaney suggestion and have baby wipes with me when I went out too.
I also understand the depression. I've had it mildly (luckily) since my first son was born. Never could get myself in gear properly after that. As you know I still get the blues now and again but since I left work I find walking is a great help to me and I intend to keep it up as long as I can.
I'm off to pot wash again. Laters 'gater(s). I''m going to message from my phone this work now and again if it works properly so I jope you all have a good week aches and pains permitting.
Please excuse the typos keep being distracted by the footie sorry!!

haha, round of applause for woofy's ' I binned it'...lol, I know what you mean, sometimes it justhaztago. And yes, there are plenty who know everything and nothing...when it's not me, it's them others :) Sometimes it means sharing half your life story to put 'em straight though and I've no intention of doing that.

How the heck do you choose knitting patterns and wool?! There's soooo much and so many. I ended up with about 25 patterns and a lorry load of yarn in my basket. I love the yarns that knit up like fair isle but this is sweet for a starter, and there's a teddy!

Oh Robi, that is so sweet, clever you if you manage it! Love the teddy (oh and the baby). My nephew's twins are due to be induced in 7 days time, she is so big bless her, can hardly walk, they are both estimated to be over 5lbs each!!
Robi that's gorgeous. I have never been able to knit anything but plain, that loos like genius standard to me. Neti, i didn't know you were going to be a Great Aunt!!

I've knitted/knat a lot in my time, lacy, cable so that should be easy. Oooh twins! i hope it goes well neti. I used to know a twin & they were huge at birth, about 9lb each I think he said ...ouch.
I married a twin who's Dad was a twin. They had a younger brother but none of the others had any children just my Steady was the only one and no sign of any twins. I think I would have liked that.
Lots of twins in my family. My mum had two lots, I lost one lot, two of my brothers have had twins (one lot identical), and now another set on the way. I'm sure there are more just can't remember.

Here she is today, she said I can show you, poor girl!
Like Robi, I have knitted all sorts and that pattern is just lovely and quite easy. Robi will have it knitted in no time whatsoever.

Talking of twins, has anybody been watching the Midwife. There is too much childbirth in it for my liking, ha, ha!!
Don't laugh, I have ordered two, yes two, pairs of shorts for the river cruise in June!!! A black and a blue. I haven't worn shorts for a very long time, but if it is hot on deck, then I shall wear them regardless of my white legs with thread veins. I used to be proud of my long shapely pins. These days they are horrible!!!!

I think I have ordered a size too large though, so may have to send them back.

Fake tan is going to be essential!!!!
I had a bump like that Neti, and only had one. It was all out the front and I looked 8 months preggie at 5 months. I never put an inch of weight on anywhere else! She's a very pretty girl, Neti.
Oight oight............ I have taken a knock out tablet. Ummmm, ummmmm, thump.................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Yes I was big at 5 months and never got any bigger, I was all out in the front too, so was surptised to have a girl!

I wear shorts but they have to be knee-length and tailored style. For fake tan the best I found was Vida Liberata, which I bought in Boots in April but when I went back for more, they had made so many different ones, that I wasn't sure which to get. There is no or very little smell with this one.
Where are you crusing to lottie? Mr N refuses outright to cruise, says it would be too boring being stuck with a crowd that you cannot escape from!! :-(
I wear shorts in the garden in the summer bu that's all....might think about it for a cruise though.
Anyway it's time to settle down here so oight oight all.
The garden is the only place I would wear shorts too.My legs look like Ordnance survey maps ! You are very brave Lofty .

Ooh I love the little baby cardi .That wool that looks like fairisle knits up lovely I've just done some socks and wristwarmers with it .It's called Sirdar Crofter and they do Baby Crofter as well .

Watched Call the Midwife
I've had the old forceps .....ouch..Although I don't think I actually said ouch, that would be far too ladylike ,I probably said bugger off with your bloody forceps ...lol.
Poor lass Neti .I bet she'll be glad to get those underway .
Mr Selfridge is getting very intriguing .

Have a nice time next week Jude .

Oight Oight chums .

Morning all, have a nice time jude and take care! x

I missed Midwife cos I watched The Hotel (which I cannot see any other time,) and Mr Selfridge, will download Midwife today. I did watch Blandings, I love it, and Timothy Spall is so good.

Got up at 5am to find that hija had left the leccy fire on in the computer room, that'll cost a bit!!!

Just a quick g'mornin for now...it's windy and a real feel of minus 2C but it's going to get even colder so I need to toddle out sooner rather than later.
Poor girl neti! Hope she has a trauma free birth. Luckily I didn't get big at all, no one noticed until I was about 6 months.

Laters gaters...well, in Jude's absence, someone's gotta say it :)
