Can anyone recommend a good lavender oil please? I've bought them in the past and they just didn't smell right somehow. It's mainly for refreshing wheat packs, pillows etc.

Baldwin's of the Walworth Rd in London ( not far from the Elephant and Castle) are true herbalists and do a postal service. They will make it clear whether they are selling the true flower oil or artificial versions.
By the way, they sell wonderful Pot Pourri oils and lots of other perfume oils.

I have just made a sharp comment on the Bedroom Tax thread to the person who annoys me muchly and am now keeping a low profile. I just couldn't help myself I am afraid!!
wonders will never cease. I have done some serious sorting and tidying and shampooed the first carpet. That has to dry, then i will move stuff onto it when its dry and shampoo the next bit.
Sis comes back on thursdy and we are going to assemble the new bed and sort the furniture....all very exciting.
Oh yes indeed Robi, I vaguely remember now, but I was ill at the time. Oh goody, that is indeed lovely. How are the ozzies getting on, hope all ok there now are their worries!! Just as well I haven't got an ankle biter to look after, I would probably forget it and leave it downtown!!!
A million posts altogether!! I love greys Lottie, they are so elegant, not good in the forest though as the hunt instinct can be dangerously strong. I have been causing trouble too, asking that the people who post strings of jokes can not do it.
OOOO boy baby grandmonster totally exciting. Are they close enough to visit lots?
still here but only just, taxi in an hour. It's been fairly bright here, I didn't realise others were being snowed on - we've only had the couple of days of snow in the new year and that was it. If there's any in Myanmar I shall be cross. It's supposed to be the same temperature there as here, only Celsius, which is a much nicer scale, and they have lovely temples.

So glad your neighbour has vanished back under the bridge, Lottie. I have been luckyish with neighbours but my mum for a few years had a kid next door with some sort of handicap; he sat in his bedroom playing deafening music for hours every day. Eventually he moved away too and is probably bothering someone else now. They didn't have noise harassment notices and things like that in those days, and you weren't allowed to shoot them either.

still not allowed to shoot them jno!!

That's beautiful neti...and a right mess when it all blows off :)

woofy they're about a 20/25 min car journey away...unless it's my sister driving, then it's anyone's guess. :)

sorry neti - the Ozzies are all fine thanks! It's been a tad hot down there, up in the high 30s!
I love it when the blossom blows. I had a plum, an apple and a wild cherry in the garden when we moved here. The plum and apple got infections and were taken out but the cherry is still here and has now got loads of seedlings.

neti are those almonds on the slopes of a volcano?
Lovely blossom trees Neti. I love Almond Blossom in Spain and Portugal. I love any blossom actually and can't wait until we have it here.
No woofy no volcanos here, hardly any mountains although we like to think of them as mountains!
must be portugal then, its somewhere that's famous for it.
Ooooh, and apparently Sicily. My friend's house in the mountains in Murcia overlooks loads of almost blossoms. Lovely. But fortunately, she is not near any Volcanos!!
Another early oight, oight from me. First night of taking my new Happy Pills which apparently will help me to sleep without nightmares, but will make me worse before they make me better.

Ying tong, ying tong, ying tong, ying tong tiddle I poo.......................

Hi All.A bit late reporting in but I've been on Skype for ages getting sorted for next week. I'm off from Monday to Friday but hopefully will keep in touch now and again.
Lottie I love the spring blossom too. It's a lovely feeling of Spring and Summer coming. I have to say you do sound a lot better and I hope your 'happy pills' do their job for you.
I'm happy things are going well Robi with Tarquin and his family.
I've had a good day...Derby won 3 - 0. I walked home from Pride Park and felt really good when I got home and made myself a cottage pie and veg. I did a really big one so I can have the other half tomorrow.
Right - it's oight oight now from me. Have a good one all of you!
See yer tomorrer begorrer!! That's the Irish in me coming.
Hi jude, bue jude, have a good time next week.

Hija has just gone out for the night/day whenever and informed me on parting "Oh I just spilled a bit of eyemakeup on my carpet, not much" Well half the ruddy room is covered in this awful black stuff, which of course smudged terribly as soon as I got near it, 1001 wouldn't shift it, so I used cillit bang for limescale and that has got rid of most of it, but think I had better check it is not removing the carpet! What did the medico say, Rest!! haha, some chance!

Oight oight lottie hope you have pleasant dreams and you wake up happy.

Oight oight the rest of you, (waves to jno somewhere up there in the skies!)
