Can anyone recommend a good lavender oil please? I've bought them in the past and they just didn't smell right somehow. It's mainly for refreshing wheat packs, pillows etc.

Baldwin's of the Walworth Rd in London ( not far from the Elephant and Castle) are true herbalists and do a postal service. They will make it clear whether they are selling the true flower oil or artificial versions.
By the way, they sell wonderful Pot Pourri oils and lots of other perfume oils.

I think we should all have a bibby outing next August to London and go to the shard, or at least to the door and have fun!!!
I have had no love letters. I expect they are saving them up for Feb 14. But I will be on a beach in the sunny south seas by then looking at the dolphins.
The sun has come out here too Lofty .
I'm fed up with this constant colicky pain .
I can't get the Shard thing to work.I just get a blank blue screen with a few clouds and the sound of wind through my speakers .Put that together with my own wind and it's like a ten force gale !
I click on landmarks but nothing happens .

I'm starting to feel a bit sorry for Jose, does he know what he's getting into with those two ?

Dull and miserable here this afternoon and it was such a lovely morning.

shaney I've been wondering about Indian brandee, can you still buy that? It used to be very warming as I remember. Hope you feel better soon.

Well I was enjoying a trip up the Shard (a bit disappointed that MI5 arent giving any secrets away) and then I heard david Cameron's voice...so I threw myself off.

I meant MI6...blame the thud when I hit the ground...I think I flattened a cherub.
You can't get Indian brandee any more but collis brownes is still available online. It costs a bit and you need to explain why you need it but it works well. It has a very small amount of morphine in, hence the precautions.
No love letters here either but we have had a good day. I went to a marine metal work place locally to try to get some clips made for my bookshelves as I have put the original clips in a safe place away from the shelves and brackets wouldn't you know it.

Have you bought all of those Lottie? I've always ended up sending things from them back because the quality was a bit poor and the sizing was all over the place. That was a long time ago, they might have improved.

lol woofy...my house must be full of safe things...very safe.
Indian Brandee .That's a blast from the past Robinia .I doubt you can get it these days.
Ooh noooo Lofty not another on line shop to look at :)

I've been hunting around for a pan but can't find anything .
All I want is a simple shallow non stick frying type pan with two handles and a lid but I'm not paying mega money !
I think I'll have eggs on tst and plonk myself in front of the tele . Mr S has those greasy herrings ..yuk .
I want to go to the farmers market tomorrow so must get a grip .
Bought 3 cardi's Shaney of that site. Lightweight for the summer.

This one in purple

and two of these, one black and one in natural beige

I am still looking at all the other stuff in their sale.

I really like the laredoute stuff.

Hello Robi. Sorry I missed your post. I have bought from them before but not for years. I don't think with the cardi's I have ordered that the fit is that important, unless of course they are far too small or far too big. Have to wait and see.

I do like their styles though, I must admit.

I am finding M&S really boring at the moment. I can't find anything I like. I want to get my summer things early ready for our June cruise.

Anybody got any Preparation H!!!
Hi all. Another none stop-day for me. I went to Derby on the bus and walked back home. Then drove to Sainsburys and then it wasn't such a none-stop day cos I was held up in Rolls Royce Traffic for about 3/4 of an hour. I've only lived in Derby all my life I should have known better and gone earlier. Nowadays with all the traffic it's awful.
Pleased you're sounding better Lottie. Liked the Cardis on that site. I agree about M&S. I can't find much I like at the mo. Not even in Per Una which is unusal for me.
Neti I'd love to meet up and go up The Shard in August. Keep it in mind. I'd come on the train though next time as National Coaches are so boring and slow compared. I can't get the Shard thing to work either Shaney. Any tips Jno.
Woofy my Grandma used to swear by Indian Brandy to make you feel better no matter what was up. Her and Grandad owned this corner shop in Derby and she always drank some sort of milk she sold which wasn't like ordinary milk. I doubt it was called sterilised but it tasted like it and kept for longer than the ordinary which was full cream in those days. You could see the thick layer of cream on the top and I used to love it. Still do but I have semi skimmed now.
Right I'm off now to dry the pots I washed ages ago. They must be dry now.
Have a good weekend Biddyfriends everywhere. Thanks for your company. I really appreciate what a lovey friendship we've built up over the years.
See yer later 'gater(s)

Nice things Lottie...sorry I can't help with the PrepH. I've got some out of date anusol

oh hi Jude, you snook in there and chopped my post in half! :) Have a good weekend.

I've just received this - I don't normally go for black but it's good for the sale price, washable and a compromise between casual and a formal blazer which I probably wouldn't wear a lot. You don't have to turn the sleeves back

And this, which I'd love a lot more if only one sleeve wasn't about 2" shorter than the other...tut. It'll have to go back, I don't fancy extreme surgery.

This is the one I like on lottie's page, but I have about 4 already and hardly wear them. They really dress up a black top and trousers. Can't see yours Robi.

Oh yes jude, I wonder if Mr N would come, err doubt it!!
Seen it now Robi, and yes, I do like that, don't think much of the two toned sweater though, of course being slim it would look good on you, but not on me!!!
Have just eaten beef stew and hard dumplings, several fizzpopz, 3 choc marshmallows and 2 fruit sherbets and I feel sick!!!
actually I might make it to london too if sis will dogsit for a day.....not sure about the shard though, i don't do heights well.
I do well out of marks but I like country style clothing and not skirts and dresses.
Oh woofy that would be lovely, well we can stand at the entrance to the Shard if nothing else. We can drop jno's name and get first-class treatment!

I only like Marks's stretch denim jeans, straight leg £12, and a bra!
