Can anyone recommend a good lavender oil please? I've bought them in the past and they just didn't smell right somehow. It's mainly for refreshing wheat packs, pillows etc.

Baldwin's of the Walworth Rd in London ( not far from the Elephant and Castle) are true herbalists and do a postal service. They will make it clear whether they are selling the true flower oil or artificial versions.
By the way, they sell wonderful Pot Pourri oils and lots of other perfume oils.

I don't do skirts Woof and the only dresses I do are those which I wear with leggings!!

And Woofy, guess what. I have a lovely new neighbour. A young nurse of 36 called Jane who has three greyhounds and plans to perhaps have a couple of sheep and goat on the paddock!!! Her father is helping her get sorted for the next few days before he goes back home and he is very nice as well. They realised that the Troll was a troll and took an instant dislike to him!! He has disappeared into the fens - the best place for trolls!!

Neti, I like that cardigan but can't be doing with waterfall hems and things, they just annoy me.

I would love to go to the shard too, but I simply can't walk very far these days and my back is a disaster area - travelling from F. to London is a nightmare!!

LOL about the sleeve on the sweater Robi!! Nice sweater, but I can't do high necks at all, they just don't suit me. But on a nice slim youngster like you that is a different matter. Blazer is nice but far to elegant for me. Again a garment for a slim thing!! (sighs)
Forgot.

An early oight, oight.

Just off to watch Corrie. Simply can't wait to see Gail get her come-uppance!!

xx
don't know why the Shard isn't working, maybe it has teething troubles. Once you get to the top (I just clicked Skip Intro and avoided the lifts) there should be a bar at the bottom that lets you move the picture up and down, left and right, and zoom in and out. I haven't clicked on the bits that let you listen to famous persons talking, but individual items have clickable sounds - you can hear people scurrying to catch their trains at Kings Cross. And at the Tower of London you can hear cows mooing and people shooting arrows. Plus there's constant wind blowing and birds tweeting, if birds have mobiles to tweet on.

They have powerful telescopes to look through but apparently residents have been complaining about people zooming in to look through their windows.

I can't see where I am but it should be somewhere in front of Wemberly.
Have just visited the Shard again and I did enjoy it, thank you jno, but I did get lost a bit, would love to visit, but how to get up 60+floors is beyond me, the lift would worry me!!
Time for bed here, hoping for another normal night, oight oight all
well, you could just drop in, neti, I nearly did as we flew by in the chopper last year

right, just about all packed, Burma here I come, later this afternoon. Then a beach in the south seas. Back in April, though you might hear from me before then. Keep warm, biddies; keep cool, neti.
Bon voyage Jno .Have a nice time .
Round robin of weather here this morning .We've had some ,rain, sleet ,snow and now it's sunny .
I was up at silly o'clock ,went to the market .Got nice veg etc and a lovely joint of beef ,much to the annoyance of a rude old biddy who thought she could shove in front of me :)
Have a great time Jno! don't forget the lovely photos I look forward to.
Lovely day here and I'm walking to the footie. Derby at home to Huddersfield. I shall still wrap up like as if it was freezing cos when you've sat in the stand and come out latere it gets really cold.
Been to see Fuschia for my Sat. cuppa. and had a good chat. She's off to town. Sooner her than me on a Saturday.
My friend is home now and his family are keeping their eyes on him and helping him but he is very independant and working hard at getting back on his feet.
I hope you all have a good weekend. Laters 'gaters!
good morning all. We went out again this morning for proper walk, then we all went back to bed, then we got up and I had breakfast and the dogs mooched bits (can you see a pattern developing here?) and the dogs are now asleep again.
Its nice here, bright breezy and chilly. I should be shampooing carpets.....
is that Myanmar jno? Have a great time, will we not hear from you until April, and what about Jose Luis, I suppose I will have to give in to him charms! If you are flying over my way be careful it is incredibly windy (weather wise not me!)

I have given in and bought that other medicine woofy as chest is getting worse.

We were up early and off to Play den Bossa for brekkie with hija, and then to the big new cheap supermarket, with a very laden trolley, with Mr N wondering in the queue if he had enough money, well of course anywhere else and I would have had to do the "washing up" but in this Mercadona everything is so good and so cheap that instead of over 100€ it was only 80€, amazing prices!

Slightly chilly now and blowing a hooley! hija is cooking up a storm and eating herself silly, house stinks of cooking :-(

I will now sit quietly and do the crossword.

Hope you are all OK biddies.

Oh btw, Mr N laughed himself silly when I told him some of us may be meeting to go up the Shard, he said I would never in a lifetime do it, SO I WILL!!!!
was sitting at Can Cosmi with hija having a coffee in the sunshine, and two clowns on stilts came alone dishing out heart shaped lollipops from the Town Hall for Valentine's Day, (they gave me two!) we were so surprised as apparently the Town Hall has no money and is after ours!!! Still nice gesture!

Good afternoon...bloomin freezing, but bright 'n sunny.

Snakes and snails and puppy dog tails! It's going to be a little boy grandmonster...well, 90% sure, there's always room for a misread scan. All's well, half way through now, it's going quickly. I'm so happy for them...hope the next half goes well too. Some lovely names on the shortlist already.

Have a lovely time jno...not back until April?! Leave your slippers please, my feet are like stone at the moment.

Hope everyone's ailments aren't too agonising.
Ooooh, I think jno has already left and I thought I could smuggle myself into her suitcase. I NEED SUNSHINE. It has been snowing quite heavily on and off all day here.

And great. Tarquin jnr. I just love little boys better than what I love little girls. They are far easier to deal with in my experience with kids, adolescents, teenagers, etc. A daughter would be nice now though!!

If you haven't gone jno, 'Have a really lovely time' I am envious!!

x
A new grandmonster? Have I missed something? when, where was I - er you know what I mean, have I not read chunks of this thread, well would this be an oz grandmonster or tother?? Well congratters and all that!! I'm still waiting........
Yes I always preferred baby boys, just my luck! But although hija can be very vexing at times, it is nice to have a mini me although she is nearly 6'.

I told you on 7th December & you replied neti...what are you like? :)
It's the son who's in this country...and I've told him to stay here too. He says he will. I did a name generator thing and got Ryder Layton *surname*
.....hahaha, sounds like a character from a Jackie Collins bonkbuster.

Can't wait to meet our new doggy neighbours Woofy!! I have already offered my services for dog letting out duties when necessary. I have warned Alice Cat that three greyhounds now live next door, but she doesn't leave our land - not ever. Except to sometimes sit on next doors roofs, where greyhounds cannot get her!!!
