Lavender Oil

Can anyone recommend a good lavender oil please? I've bought them in the past and they just didn't smell right somehow. It's mainly for refreshing wheat packs, pillows etc.

Baldwin' s of the Walworth Rd in London ( not far from the Elephant and Castle) are true herbalists and do a postal service. They will make it clear whether they are selling the true flower oil or artificial versions.
By the way, they sell wonderful Pot Pourri oils and lots of other perfume oils.

Good morning, I now this sounds stupid, but starting off sleeping downstairs worked really well. Shughy didn't get stressed out by the noise so Rab didn't think there were monsters in the garden so we all slept through quite normally....I really do need a bungalow. This morning we have had a rather wet slippery walk which the boys enjoyed and I am now drinking hot tea.

Morning all. My villa is a bungalow, really couldn't be doing with stairs now, although we have 9 steps from the garden to the patio to get in! I find when sleeping at sister's I get nervous with the front and back doors downstairs and me not being able to hear anyone getting in, although she is well protected. When I hear a noise outside at night, I either pop my head out of the window as my bedroom is right next to the front door, or step outside cos I am the brave and foolhardy one! We are double fronted so I can see the whole front patio from the house and I can see all the back from the kitchen, if anyone lurks round the side, then the security lights come on, as it does when windy!! and the neighbour's dog barks and goes mad! but it barks all the time anyway so that's no good!
Morning all...bitterly cold wind but at least it's bright 'n sunny. The snow didn't settle but the flakes were huge.
I haven't watched the Mary Berry story, maybe they'll repeat it, the tele seems to be all or nothing some nights. I haven't got a recorder any more and I very rarely do the iplayer etc thing. It's a bit draughty just here and I don't know why, it must be the way the air draws around these houses, everyone says the same about theirs, especially when it's windy outside.
I love being upstairs, I think I get it from my mum and grandma...it must be a survival instinct in us, they lived through quite a lot of flooding :)

Morning - I am like Robi. I only feel secure sleeping upstairs. It's just not right sleeping at ground level. It will have to be a chair lift for me, although I can't accommodate one here. I have a feeling a bungalow might be my last home.
(If you sleep on the ground floor, people can peep in, and so can witches and clowns - not good!!)

Peeping in?? not on my watch, we always draw the curtains and shut the louvred shutters, and I am in a little cul de sac with just my neighbour, no one else could ever find it! The postman can't half of the time! You cannot even see the garden gate from the lane. and the house is at least 60 metres from the gate! No passers by and no peepers!
Am well pleased, I ordered some face make-up on internet and after a lot of phone calls and emails, I finally managed to send in the order, and I have received it today, but didn't have to sign for it, so may be I will tell her I didn't receive it and get another one!!! It cost me 38€ and only 23ehe actual compact!
Hello all
Cold ,sleet and blowing a gale .
Hope all ok .
I sometimes wish we had bought a bungalow when we moved back here .
The stairs look like a mountain to climb when I'm pain mode which is more often than not .But I don't think I would like to sleep downstairs on a permanent basis really although I suppose it might come to that one of these days .

I've been doing Mary Berry scarf for a week now, but not many of myscarves are long enough. You sort of have to wrap it once round the neck, with the ends hanging in front, then loop one of the ends through the original loop round the neck but only get a loop of it, not the end bit and the poke other end through that loop. simples!
I may have forgotten to post it first time round neti, sorry.
My knitting's arrived, lovely yarn, I chose Robin for the little white jacket...now, will they have a tiny tot or a bruiser of a baby? I do know two other girls having babies so there's going to be a taker somewhere if he turns out to be a whopper :)
