Actually they're not particularly good at it.

Clearly, the facts about modern Christmas are not very flattering. It is largely a manufactured holiday with much evidence pointing to a degraded past. In all good conscience, then, millions of Christians have decided not to celebrate Christmas. For example, one youth named Ryan says regarding Christmas: “People get so excited about a couple of days a year when the family gets together and all are happy. But what is so special about that? My parents give me gifts all year!” Another youth, 12 years old, says: “I don’t feel deprived. I receive gifts throughout the year, not just on one special day when people feel obligated to purchase gifts.”
CHRISTmas. Anyone who dosen't believe is sadly missing out [no offence
meant]. But I do think some of the people on here who don't have a faith
should be a bit more respectful.Just because you cant get your head
round it or prove it to your satisfaction dosen't mean it isn't true. God's
love is the best thing that could ever happen to you. The proof is Jesus.

No offence taken, but I think your post represents muddled thinking and simple wrongness.
First, you can have absolutely no idea whether or not non christians or atheists "miss out" - that is only your conviction, which like your religion is based around your faith - belief in the absence of evidence. So, your point is wrongheaded.
Second. - Why should we offer "respect" to a religion, or the beliefs of those that have faith? That kind of thinking leads to judges treating lightly a bunch of hooligan women who claimed that their mob behaviour in beating up on a woman was a consequence of their sensitivity to alcohol, which was due abstinence taught by their religion. Why should I offer respect to the beliefs of a faith that leads to believers posting mysoginistic or anti-scientific or homophobic commentary? Why should I offer respect to a faith that allows people offer bigoted views or actions?
How do you know your god loves you? What do you mean when you say that the proof is jesus? Its a meaningless, wrongheaded statement. What you actually mean I think is that the actions of this alleged person called Jesus, as is commonly understood by narrative tales culled from a serially edited book called the bible give us proof of gods love - but that kind of proof fails to hold weight in any legal, scientific or even common sense court.
Its just fairy tales and nonsense, and if believing in it gives you a nice warm fuzzy feeling inside cupid, then fine, but dont expect anyone to offer automatic deference or respect for such belief.
I can have respect for nations, organisations or individuals for their actions and deeds - but I have none for rhetoric or stated beliefs.

Ho Yes,No one wants to be poor. Yet today there are great masses of poor people everywhere. and many countries lives in poverty!
World leaders call such nations “underdeveloped.” But what they really are is poor. These lands are also called the “Third World,” being ranked below the wealthy countries and those nations that have some degree of wealth.
Centuries ago limited communications kept most people in poor countries from observing how those in wealthier lands lived. But today it is different. Poor people everywhere, because of newspapers, magazines, radios and television sets, are observing how “the other half” lives. They want to live that way too.
Many authorities say that the world situation could get very explosive because of the rising expectations of poor nations. It is felt that if their situation does not improve, they may be willing to accept radical solutions to their problems. And it is also generally agreed that the day has passed when the poor nations could be convinced that their condition was simply “fate,”

Cupid, //But I do think some of the people on here who don't have a faith should be a bit more respectful.//
Why? Because it's religion? I presume, then, that you respect the ideology of the people who flew planes into the World Trade Centre in the name of their God? And Christians who feel perfectly justified in stringing up black men, and those who call for the murder of gays, or condemn babies to be born with horrendous diseases, and those who mutilate and subjugate their women, and leaders who encourage their followers to commit mass suicide? Do you respect all of that because those people have faith - or are you saying we should respect only your faith and that of people who think as you do? Where do you draw the line - or don't you?
//Just because you cant get your head round it or prove it to your satisfaction dosen't mean it isn't true.//
I can get my head around it, and I have got my head around it - and getting my head around it has presented me with no reason whatsoever to believe any of it.
Incidentally, you do realise that if you'd been born elsewhere you'd probably believe Christianity to be completely and utterly wrong, don't you?
Elderman, you've gone off at a tangent again. Could you please tell us what are you trying to achieve? A straightforward, coherent answer would be good.

Naomi, you always only pick out the bad bits, there are good and bad
christians and muslims. When the twin towers happened the suicide bomber
didn't care that there were muslims among the victims. I know from the posts
you join on here you are very anti-religion and seem to blame it for all the
world's atrocities. I dont label mine a religion, it's a very deep-rooted faith.
And it wasn't something that was drummed into me growing up and I just
fell into. I was an adult in my 20's when I became a christian. I no way think
I'm better than you, as I've said before I choose to believe. It dosen't make
me thick just because you and your happy band of followers think it's all
fairy tales!

Naomi.........On the part of true Christian in order to achieve full godly devotion. It entails the enduring of opposition and persecution. (2Ti 3:12) A person’s aim, or objective, in training himself is not to achieve selfish materialistic gain. But there is gain to the one who is content with his lot in life, who continues in godly devotion along with self-sufficiency. “It holds promise of the life now,” namely, spiritual health, satisfaction, happiness, and a purpose in living. It also holds promise of the life that “is to come.” (1Ti 4:7, 8)
If anyone who professes to serve God, do not let people fly planes into the World Trade Centre in the name of their True God, And Christians who feel perfectly justified in stringing up black men, and those who call for the murder of gays, or condemn babies to be born with horrendous diseases, and those who mutilate and subjugate their women, and leaders who encourage their followers to commit mass suicide?
Yes,instead of adhering to the Bible and if his teaching does not ‘accord with godly devotion,’ thus failing to reflect the teacher’s devotion to God, he becomes “mentally diseased.” (1Ti 6:3, 4) He then pointed out that there would be those who would practice all sorts of wickedness, hypocritically having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power. You need a Bible study.
