I can understand homosexuality, I can understand trans-gender, but I simply cannot understand why heterosexual men indulge in cross-dressing. Any thoughts that may enlighten me will be welcome.

quiz, the difference (subtle I agree) when women wear jeans is that, by and large, they are wearing jeans designed to be worn by women.
As I said earlier, what i find interesting is how much “what is worn by women/men” and adjuncts like hairstyles and jewellery, is a social and ethnic construct and one which changes with time, often quite quickly.
I wonder what people who are drawn to cross dress will choose to wear once there is no divide between what is acceptable for men and women to wear? I mean I know that the answer will be “whatever they like, the same as everyone else.” but I wonder what they will be drawn to to fulfil their need to wear the clothing of the opposite gender?
Sighhh Naomi @13:39. Tongue in cheek. I am sure I read this week that one of the major chain stores has introduced a range of apparel that is intended to be non gender specific. I haven't looked it up but imagine it to be along the lines of the clothes worn on Starship Enteprise.
There is already a place that sells non gender specific clothing, its called Cotton Traders :)
woofgang Cotton Traders designate their lines and display them in specific gender areas, even online they advertise 'Mens' & 'Womens' items. The piece I read (it may have been Primark) about a clothing retailer was at pains to point out that the displays and items would be actually labelled in the ad. blurb as suitable for both sexes.
////Keyplus is talking about religion and Islam in particular. With no one to tell me how to live my life goodness knows what sets my boundaries. Nevertheless, I manage somehow.////

If no one tells you how to live your life then why are you telling or questioning how others dress? Hypocrisy?

Keyplus, Not hypocrisy - curiosity.
I must confess, I don't care much for pants with a fly hole. In my mind its just as easy to go over the top. Besides, with no fly hole there's no worry about creating the wrong impression should I accidently put my trousers on . . . backwards.

Fender, I agree. Homosexuality, transgender, men dressing as women, I understand, but I can't get my head around men who live with life size dolls and treat them as if they're real.
Each to their own, though. Who am I to say what's ok?

Or how about to each their own and stop judging?
I'd guess it's just a substitute. It looks more female-like than one's hand yet doesn't make life difficult by having wants of their own that need fulfilling. A compromise that achieves that which is desired.
Not many cross dressers look as good as you Jim, I know that doesn't matter, but just saying ...
Oh come on, Jim....that takes maturity........x
Very kind of you to say so, viv :)
I've always been a 'live and let live' person - I bet some of my individual ways would tickle some.
are feathers involved?
Might be ;-)
