There is not doubt Tommy is a political prisoner.
The support he is getting cant be ignored.
Now it is protests, next it will be violence.
People have reached breaking point.
Do you agree?

// PeterPedant, we know he broke the law. Do try to keep up, there's a good chap.//

er the top says " Free Tommy!"

so its OK for Tommy to break the law when he agreed he shouldnt and go Free ?

er no wonder I cant keep up.....
Murraymints, //"he broke the law" thereby any argument in his defence is invalid //

You have respect for the law when it suits you. The Suffragettes broke the law but I wouldn't consider an argument in their defence invalid. Would you?
There's no doubt in my mind that he's been locked up because of his political views - the fact that he did in fact break some minor law was just helpful to the authorities to justify locking him up so quickly.
If I had done what he did I would not be in prison - therefore he's a political prisoner.
The Suffragettes broke the law to highlight a greater injustice.

Yaxley/Lennon/Robinson broke the law because he thought he would....The people he was 'unmasking' were already on trial, so it was a pointless exercise.
he is a big mouthed self serving idiot, with no respect for due process , he deserves to be where he is..he is NOT above the law and he and his "disciples" need reminding,/ of that
hardly minor Prud..when the whole thing could have collapsed
Calling him names works. Good argument.
and you WOULD be in prison !
not names observation
Ahhh, observation. Right .....
yup ! facts is facts !
if he EVER wants to be considered in ANY debate,he has to be seen to be a law abiding and considered thinking person.. clearly he does not and isn't..surprise ?
Tommy Robinson is no angel but he's a man very much maligned by his opponents from the opposite end of the political spectrum.

Videos of TR have been very carefully cut and edited to make it look like he's instigated a confrontation / violent scene, whereas when the unedited version has turned up it actually shows him being provoked and goaded and having no option but to defend himself.
Robinson/Yaxley/Lennon is as stupid as he is odious.
His ego persistently gets in the way of what actually needs to be done. He needs to wind his neck in and let Justice take its' course;

Jack if everyone wound their neck in and let justice take its course... there would not have been any justice dished out.
nom .. not the case.. why did he turn up in the first instance knowing full well the outcome..he is yet another example of self promotion in a subject conrtroversial
He was outside a court building where Justice was actually occuring and he could have jeopardised that.

I'm not conflating *that* with his other activities......
The trial was over and they were returning to find out who was going to prison and who was getting away scout free.
I'm not going to get into a full-scale debate about this. All I will say is there are always two very different sides to the story with this chappie.

Could it be that his methods are not entirely honorable but his intentions are?
may well be.. but his methods are all wrong and he must accept the deserved resulting legal punishment
//he must accept the deserved resulting legal punishment //

I imagine he has. He has no option. He's banged up.
