To me it smells terrible and I try to avoid it and those who do it while they are smoking. I don't do it myself but I'm ok with others doing it, as it's their choice.
I don't mind other people smoking Naomi as long as I don't have to smell it. It makes me heave. I understand how hard it is to stop once you have started. It took me 3 - 4 attempts but I did it without help eventually and haven't had a cigarette for 35 years. The smell makes me feel sick though, which is good, because it means I don't yearn for one. I have two members of my family who have been puffing on ecigs for at least 5 years who consider they have given up. Hmmm!
Lol NJ I’m with you 100% on most of that, other than I’m not “passive eating” doesn’t exist. When you’ve sat next to someone on a train with their elbows out eating an oniony quarter pounder ...
I wonder about that, LB, in fact I think I once asked the question here, "Are E-cigarette puffers considered non-smokers?' I mean, they're not stinky are they, and no one is breathing in their toxic smoke, so their habit can't upset anyone .... can it?
I used to smoke and hated the smell of it on my hair and clothes, which was much worse after nights out in smokey pubs and clubs.
I can’t stand the smell of vapers either though.
Other people smoking ecigs doesn't upset me Naomi. But I am a worrier and have read the warnings about nasty ingredients in ecigs and hate to see my offspring puffing away on them. I think it also enforces the habit, lift to mouth, pull, puff, blow, you know what I mean. And you should see the panic stricken face if they are not immediately to hand at any given time. End of the world doesn't come into it;-) Naughty me I shouldn't have brought ecigs into the thread.
I allowed all and sundry to smoke in my house but one friend was really a very heavy smoker - like she became panic-stricken when down to one and was away to pack her next pack.
She took a heartattack last September and after getting two stents has remained off them.
Now I don't allow smokers to smoke in my house - you must go outside.
JJ, I wouldn't like anyone to smoke in my house because, yes, it does smell, but I don't mind sitting with smokers outside.
Cloverjo, I can't say I've ever noticed a smell from e-cigarettes. Next time I'm in close proximity to someone smoking one I'll make a point of sniffing.
I know people who smoke ecigarettes. They don't smell anywhere near as much. I did ask a GP out of interest, and he said, obviously it is better to smoke nothing, but they are about 95% healthier than cigarettes (me neither...)
