how cows milk is made available fresh every day in billions of litres? It has to come from a lactating calfs mother who after giving birth, has her baby snatched away from her in order that the milk intended for her calf can be extracted mechanically for humans use. I cannot imagine the cries she makes when this takes place and can still her calf crying for its mother.

damn someone has already done the Russian Ukraine bit
memo to self: must frink goats milk
Controversial post coming up.
WWII. Cattle trucks trundling across Europe towards slaughterhouses. Trucks packed with suffering animals bleating or roaring with pain and misery, wondering what was happening to them. Trying to protect and nourish and reassure their offspring, right up to the moment when they were exposed to poisonous gas.

Remind you of anything? Well, of course it's not the same is it? Nowadays, the animals have their throats cut, or are rendered unconscious by carbon dioxide.

I'm not preaching. I'm just asking you to think about it.
Apperenty,
id be prepared to rape a carrot...
According to some,
Im a druggie anyway,
so why not a carrot raper to boot....
It's straightforward really. If you're not concerned about dairy farming then drink cows' milk. If you are concerned, drink something else such as the juice extracted from plant material. But don't fool yourself into thinking you're drinking milk. They might put "milk" on the label and you might see some definitions of "milk" include such stuff, but milk comes from mammals.
Always sounds a lot better than drinking 'nut' juice :-)
19:42 I think that post is really sick
237SJ; I'm not surprised. It makes me sick to see the parallels.
Atheist at 7.42pm.

Your post was utterly absurd.

You appear to be comparing the slaughter of humans because they were Jews, with the killing of animals for our food.

You may not think you are preaching, but you most definitely are.
*not* preaching.
//19:42 I think that post is really sick//
You dont like reality then?
Desk; What is your definition of 'preaching'?
//You appear to be comparing the slaughter of humans because they were Jews, with the killing of animals for our food//

Dont think atheist was comparing anything of any such kind?
Atheist isn't actually comparing the two, just showing how clever he is.
Carnivorous animals, including humans eat other animals, that's life, get over it.
Nailit; I was sort of making that comparison. Animals give us food, leather etc. Jews gave the Nazis lebensraum and purity of the Aryan blood and gold teeth and skin for lampshades, etc. It's not a pleasant thought, but it was like that. Also, in both cases, the victims were cionsidered sub-human and not worth worrying about.
dave50; we humans are omnivores. We eat what we choose to eat, not what we are forced to eat. I choose to avoid eating other sentient animals, you don't. It's your choice.
Dougla; I don't feel clever. I just don't like to eat other sentient creatures. I try not to show off.
Douglas; why would you think it was clever not to like eating animals?
I eat animal flesh and products.
Ive tried at various times in life to eat vegan and/or vegetatian.
Once had a vegetarian GF who cooked some amazing meals but was always hungry after a couple of hours.
Eat animal now and Im satiated for hours.
(EG, eggs for breakfast and I can skip lunch and have chicken and veg for tea....with a few drugs of course, according to some on here)

Still maintain that its natural for humans to eat meat but take my hat of to those that dont for ethical purposes!
