We're often told that there is a difference between 'ordinary' Muslims and extremists, so ignoring those who call for violence and Islamic domination as they march in support of Palestine, but thinking only of the Muslim school children and their parents and supporters who are making news by intimidating students into adopting the hijab, to observe Islamic fasting rituals, and to withdraw from some school activities because they are considered 'haram';   the student who is battling her school in court (at the taxpayers' expense) for the 'right' to pray during school hours, the protestors outside schools, causing one to close early in order to protect staff and pupils, and those who are threatening teachers to the extent that they fear travelling on public transport, one of whom is still, after a very long time, in hiding.   The people who are responsible for all of this carry on their regular everyday lives living among us.  Are they 'ordinary' Muslims - or are they extremists?

12.58. Of course they do, wouldn't dream of thinking otherwise. Problem is you never know if the hats on or off. On when it suits, off when it don't. :0)

No, lottie, it's exactly what I asked.   That girl battling her school, those students indimidating others into adopting strict Islamic practices, and the parents intimidating and threatening teachers and students have crossed the line - and that should worrry everyone - even you and your mates.

For the record I'm not interested in your opinion of me - nor in anyone else's.

Opinions is what AB is about, is it not? If you don't care why bother posting the OP??

nicebloke1,  I suggest you read my post again.  You seem confused.

Not confused, your on about personal remarks, yes? If you look through the whole of this thread there are many many personal remarks shot across the bows by posters, including by both mods. If you shoot such remarks, then they will no doubt be shot back. Not a very good example set by the very people who should be keeping order.

Right ...........

naomi - //

andy-hughes, //Dave has answered his own version of the OP//

No he hasn't.  He's outlined the difference between 'ordinary' behaviour and 'extremist' behaviour - as per the question.  Carry on dancing. //

That is utterly ridiculous.

You didn't ask what the difference was betwwn 'odinary behaviour' and 'extreme behaviour', which anyone can tell you.

Going to Friday prayers is 'ordinary', cutting people's heads off is 'extreme'.

But that's not what your OP says.

You asked - // Are they 'ordinary' Muslims - or are they extremists? //

Dave has not answered your question, but you applaud him for 'not dancing round it'.

He's not even in the ballroom!

I know you think you will get an answer, but applauding an answer to a question you didn't ask is a stretch, even for you.

nicebloke - // Not a very good example set by the very people who should be keeping order. //

As I have already advised, we post as AB'ers, we are not school prefects.

Nao I  you care to explain who are my mates?

Sorry, would you care to explain to me who my mates are on here?

naomi - // nicebloke1,  I suggest you read my post again.  You seem confused. //

Not it seems, as confused as you.

You applaud an 'answer' to a question you didn't as in the first place - that looks like confusion to me.

I actually answered you when you told me  before that I hadn't answered the question, that my answer would be much the same as OGs last Tuesday and that I agreed with Mozz.  That still stands.

I still looking for my mates on here 😂

It's all gone very quiet .....

Question Author

I said my bit at 13.19.  I rest my case.

Naomi - Is that where you applauded Dave for answering a question you didn't ask in the first place?

Still, at this stage, you have to take what you can get.

I suppose even an answer to another question is better than the absence of any answers on here that actually suit you, which, from long experience, I know is impossible.

Hint - This is the bit where you tell me you've had enough of me / you don't care what I think / I'm  mistaken....

Pick any one, or one of your own, or your default, which is simply not to reply at all.

Never mind.

If I have time later, I'll unravel Roy's latest pointless piffle, should take us over the five hundred.

Yippee!!

No you won't.  You will just convince yourself you have.

There you are then.

We've arrived.
