If you were fleeing violence , if someone attacked you in the street, where would you go? you would go to nearest safe place. Why is it the assylum seekers fleeing their countries dont go the nearest safe country?. No they make their way to soft touch Britain. Passing on the way all the Continental Countries Eastern European Countries and Northern Africa.
Well you have just answered my question Oneeyedvic . Where is the need to travel all the way here when all the countries they pass on the way will probably speak the English Language.Im not trying to say there is not a need for a haven for the thousands of people to are trying to escape opression and war but what I dont have is the answer to why they all feel they have to come here.As I said in my previous post ;if I needed a refuge I would go to my nearest neighbour.

answers to your questions:::
1) Fluent in Enlgish means Fluent in English..i.e being able to speak, read and write English..!!! how else can i put it???
2) I dont understand what you are getting at......why would I want to apply to be a builder???
3) Te ensure that they will not be a drain on our already stretched benefits system. Its bad enough having to pay for British layabouts, let alone some other countries!!
4) Exactly!
5) Yes
6) Yes british, and no will not have to leave, but parents do have to.
With regard to the Gurkhas...then they of course can stay here if desired.
Yes send them all back re doctors and dentists!! All mine are british so im not effected!!
Flolo, I agree...if i were from afgan or iraq or some other country...why on earth would you head for england.............????? the weather is crap....the people are likely to hate you.....oh yeah i forgot......we will probably give you a free house or flat and about 20k a year to have a really good time. 1) Fluent in Enlgish (sic) means Fluent in English..i.e being able to speak, read and write English..!!! how else can i put it??? If you can't spell the word English and can't articulate yourself, do you think you should be allowed to live in this country? There are different levels of fluency - as is very apparent on AB. What sort of level do people need in your ideal?
2) I dont understand what you are getting at. You originally said that you already have a job lined up here - how do you apply for local building jobs?
3 - I will repeat the question since you seem unable to answer it "how much do you think you need to be financially solvent for 5 years?"
4 - So you are happy if they build mosques etc so long as they apply for the necessary planning permissions?
5 - You answer Yes in response to civil laws being broken. Do you understand what civil laws are?
6 - What are you going to do with the children who are born in this country but whose parents have committed that awful crime of being late back to a car in a car park and have therefore broken civil law.
So how come Gurkhas can stay - they certainly don't meet your criteria?

1) dont be so pedantic!
2) There is such a thing as the internet..! anyway...there are hundreds of thousands of people claiming benefits that could fill these types of jobs if they could only get off their backsides and get a job...but thats a different arguement!
3) Re Being financiall sovent....i would say a minimum of 50k (more if living in areas of high living costs such as london/southeast
4) There are enough mosques in this country. Why do we need more?
5) Dont be so condescending....if they break the law, whether it be a criminal one or civil, send them back.
6) Of course the children should be sent home with their parents
With regard to Gurkhas....they have made a great contribution to various military campaigns with British armies over the years so of course they can stay.......

On the back of your answer to Jake, Princeranie, I assume that you have no issue with the Polish either (since you have no problems with the Irish). Or for that matter for Turkey
Why do you want immigrants to have a better understanding of English than you do? If they make spelling or grammatical errors, will that have them thrown out?
With regards the children, check your answer @ 23:11: and no will not have to leave, but parents do have to.
Have you really thought about it?

economic migrants are mostly coming here to ponce off the british system
they have obviously failed through laziness or a lack of ability in their former country
why do we have open house for people with a pre-disposition to fail?
this country was once built by winners
dont devalue it with losers
what is wrong with a points based entry system?, it will keep out the dross and may actually benefit the country
