Is there such a thing? If a relationship starts out on a platonic footing, is it possible for a man and a woman to maintain a friendship indefinitely on that basis, or is it inevitable that after time, the intentions of one or the other, or both, will change?

_NOK_ yes I know what you mean, I fancy sara too, but I have a problem...........she can't stand me. LOL
NK, you can drive!
I've had many platonic relationships with men I've met mainly through playing sports. A couple of them even invited me as their best mate to their stag do's............
I have more male friends than female friends.
ummmm....that's reassuring ;-)

Sqad - are you saying then, that if you ever met any of the ladies on AB/CB you couldn't just be friends but would have to shAg them first ?
ahh, im thinking i must be in the a listing then, men do make good friends though
I generally prefer boys.....I don't like talking about my kids, hair, clothes, make up and what everyone else is up to...
DEN....depends if they were "ugly" or not. Even if they were ugly, I would have a drink and then "give it a go"

LOL
Yeah, Den

He'll invite the lady to an innocent game of snooker, and when they bend over for the shot........wallup! :)

(pssst....You'll hardly notice anything though)..................lol
I have two very close male friends, neither of whom is ugly, neither of which I would want to enter into a relationship with even if I was single. One has been a close friend for nearly 40 years.
kojay....LOL.....I could always borrow your lollipop, at least it would be an improvement.....LOL

"Wallup" indeed.
lofty....then you must be the "ugly one"................;-)
i agree ummm, when i play golf with other women they dont put much effort into the game, their course management is total sh!te as well and they are too b!tchy competetive, men on the other hand are focused, relaxed and dont talk about fluffy stuff
You had better buy a lot of drink then Sqad - ha ha ha
Gee thanks Sqad!!
Lofty... looks like you're in there... how's your 'tip chalking' technique?
