I found the implications of this video rather disturbing. This man appears to be saying that he adheres to an acceptable moral code only because he fears the negative consequences of his actions - as taught by Islam - in the next life. He then talks about children needing moral guidance, but still he relies upon an outside source – Islam and the Koran - to provide it. Surely, as an adult, he knows right from wrong, and should be capable of living a decent lifestyle, and of teaching his children to do the same without abnegating his responsibility and without this feeble dependency?

//beady eyed, malevolent God//

youve never seen him. how can you say that??? (stereotypes) as usual.

Sith, you are beyond comprehension.
The weather is usually fine, therefore we don't need umbrellas. Masterly! What do you think, Birdy?
Sith, and you have seen your god? come on, time to tell the truth (at last)
Keylus, I think if you sorted out the meanings of 'few' and 'a few' as used in everyday English your arguments would make more sense. :-)
sith123 //beady eyed, malevolent God//

I can't speak for the beady eyes but there is no question about the malevolence. The holy books are explicit in theat regard.
Sith >>youve never seen him. how can you say that??? << How do you know?
no i have not seen him. I have faith jom, something which you, evidently, do not.

ratter, if naomi had seen god we would all know for sure. :)

beso, which holy books?
Sith, I have faith in people not your silly god. When you put your god before people it shows that you are no better than people such as Stalin who(arguably) put political dogma before the people it was supposed to protect.
Question Author
Sith, //if naomi had seen god we would all know for sure.//

No you wouldn't. How would I know it was God I'd seen? It could be the Devil in disguise. ;o)
//no i have not seen him. I have faith jom, something which you, evidently, do not.//

Am I the only one who sees a red flag waving here?

It was people's faith in Stalin which put him in a position to rule over them. Arrrggh . . . faith is public enemy number one.

Hebrews 13:2.
If angels, why not God too?
Too right. I am at a loss as to why so many people think of and promote the concept of faith as a virtue, rather than what it actually is, which is a suspension of reason and rationality.

Time and Love have often been cited as being the culprits who "make fools of us all" - I would suggest that faith is equally culpable in making fools of the believers............

Beso, //I can't speak for the beady eyes //

Oh, I'd say he definitely has beady eyes. He doesn't miss a thing.

Sandy, //If angels, why not God too? //

I'm not sure what you're saying. I asked how I would know it was God.
// It could be the Devil in disguise. ;o)// probably more likely ;)

Muslims do believe in people, hence all the prophets and imams and families.
Well that is encouraging...you do however have a strange way of showing it.
...ok.

Quoted from Lord somebody or other by Karen Armstrong in her biography of Mohammed as an example of colonial arrogance and prejudice:
"His (the Oriental’s) reasoning is of the most slipshod description. Although the ancient Arabs acquired in a somewhat higher degree the science of dialectics, their descendants are singularly deficient in the logical faculty. They are often incapable of drawing the most obvious conclusions from any simple premise of which they may admit the truth."
If the only evidence to establish the truth or falsehood of this proposition were the Orient’s only representative here and his Western neophyte one might think the case proven.
Naomi, doesn't that verse enjoin us to be welcoming to strangers because in doing so some people have entertained Angels?
I think if you were ever fortunate enough to look upon the face of God you would know.
