Jehovah's Witnesses...

Two lovely old ladies just knocked on my door. I didn't want to answer, as I knew who they were, but in my quest of 'being a better person' (and the fact it is raining!) I answered.
I told them I didn't feel well and now was not a good time - which is true.
BUT... rather than just leave it at that, I said "but please do come back another time"....??!! Why!!!
They were really pleased with that and said "oh thank you (surprised tone). We will".
They've given me three leaflets to "read through when I'm feeling better".
One of them is a copy of the current Watchtower, the next one is a "One Man Died For All" leaflet, and the other (bizarrely) is "How To Be A Good Father".... er....
Are you as polite to JW's, or do you tell them where to go?

I find they don't bother you is you explain you are a Satanist and you are actively looking for servants of God to sacrifice at the next Sabbat. Pity really, because the Satanist movement could do with a few more converts.

As The Doctor used to say, you are in very grave danger my friend.
Its difficult to see how much worse you could possibly have made things, other than to actually invite them in.
Its tempting to say something rude and Anglo Saxon to these pests, but its just doesn't work. Anyway, most of these JW's are old biddys and my Mum brought myself up and my brothers not to be rude, especially to old ladies.
What you must do is this :::
Tell them that you have Disfellowshipped. They will turn a funny colour and then they will run back down your front path like the very devil himself is after them !
Disfellowshipping is about the worse thing that can happen to a JW. It's a kind-of shunning that they do when one of their kind breaks the rules in any way, like having a blood transfusion, buying a birthday card for their kids, or even daring to smile once in a while.
If you have been Disfellowshipped, then any JW is not allowed any contact whatsoever with you whatsoever, hence the high speed retreat down your garden path. You might even get a nice little hurdle over your gate, if you are really lucky.
On no account try to reason with these people...they are trained in objection handling to a degree that even life assurance salesmen would consider excessive. Believe me...I used to sell life assurance.
Hope this helps !

Good answer Mikey! I like that.
I told them to come back on the weekend, when I have more time to talk to them. What was I thinking! She seemed really happy when I said that, despite looking at my feet (I only wear one slipper) and then giving me an odd look.
I best get some nice tea in for the weekend, me thinks.

Mrs Lulu - I know it sounds strange but I was brought up in the Christian faith so I know quite a bit about it. I made up my own mind that I didn't believe a word of it when I got older. However, according to the Christian teaching, Jesus said, Suffer the little children to come unto me, so he certainly would not have behaved in such a fashion as to deprive them of anything, had he really been the person he was supposed to be. And although I am a non-believer, I can still say that many of his teachings showed a good way of life, should you choose to follow them. I have said before, I think, that I imagine he may have been a rabbi, or teacher and that many of his teachings in the shape of parables, or stories, were directed at the mass of people who could not read or write. We all have our own thoughts on this. I have also wondered who wrote all these 'books' and who they were aimed at, since as I have just said, the mass of people could not read or write!
