Does Islam Have Anything To Offer The World?
146 Answers
We have been told by a Muslim ABer that the people of Islam are coming to the west, not for a better life, but to show us ‘the way’. Most of the major problems the world is currently experiencing undoubtedly involve Muslim nations, and if that’s ‘the way’ they want to show us, it's not terribly enticing, so just what does Islam have to offer the world? As far as I can see, nothing whatsoever.

"And unless you are vegetarian, an animal will bleed to death to feed you. If you think that all your meat has been stunned first - whether Halal or not - then you are quite sincerely deluded."
I do not believe I am deluded in thinking the meat I buy has been stunned first - firstly because I buy my meat from a local butcher who uses a local abbatoir.
You imply a degree of hypocrisy in those objecting to Halal meat on the grounds that it has not been stunned before slaughter - I reject this too. There is nothing wrong with having the desire to eat meat and at the same time expect that the animals that go to provide our meat are slaughtered according to the highest standards of humane slaughter, much the same as we should expect they are reared in that fashion too.

To say that muslim scientists, doctors etc are harmless, is not answering the question. What do they have to offer other than a very old fairy story? There are plenty of clever scientists, doctors etc who have a similar fairy tale they believe, only its a little different. They have contributed something not because of their relgion, but despite it.
