I thought this was a joke article from one of those spoof news sites when I first saw it. There are lots of questions here but I'll go with 'Does anyone think he'll actually be charged with the offence?'

They claim that they themselves weren't offended but we're intrigued as to whether blasphemy laws had been broken, so basically another of the 'perpetually offended on behalf of others' brigade.
Until proof of any 'god' is forthcoming such laws ought to be scrapped.

v_e, THAT I call cowardly - although I agree that there was no doubt an element of self-preservation in it. Appalling really that one religion is capable of silencing its critics so easily – and it’s accepted – and moreover often defended. They have their methods! I wonder what Sam Harris, the most voracious of Islam’s critics, would have said had he been in the same situation?
