Homeless Refugees

We mustn't forget that what we are "celebrating" tomorrow is the homeless refugee couple having to spend the cold and frosty night in a barn for their baby's birth.

We should be grateful the the fable of peace and love hasn't been twisted out of all recognition by greedy, powerful forces bent on profiting from the gullibility of the downtrodden and dispossesed. It could all have led to misery for millions down the centuries.

Theland, what sources do the anonymous atheist professors you (quite bizarrely) choose to promote have access to that I don’t? Their sources are mine – and yours.
Khandro, you, like Theland, depend rather too heavily upon the selected words of others. Where this subject is concerned, free-thinking appears to be at a premium. Odd really, that rather than seek truth, you want me to take your man’s word as ‘gospel’ solely to preserve religion That doesn't work for me.

You have pointed this out to me before. Is it that when you aren't able to counter the quote because it is too good (as above) it is me you criticise? I once quoted Plato and you said, can't you think for yourself? Well I've tried, but have to admit he was the better thinker.
The important thing is to choose the right people to quote; William Penn and Plato or Richard Dawkins?

Daniel B Wallace is quite an authority on New Testament studies, and the mass of evidence for it.
But hey! I am not trying to dissuade you from the comfort of your atheism.
I too have my reasons to believe, which I share with other believers who have always been, or come to be believers in Jesus Christ.
Some believers have adhered to their faith for years, then abandoned it.
I don't think you have cornered the market for evidence.

Possibly evangelical. I live next door to a CoE but can't go there. There is an evangelical a few roads away, but health prevents me getting involved.
My faith is expressed daily in prayer, lectures, and simply trying with Gods grace to do His will.
Now, that sounds so stiff and sanctimonious, and I promise you I am far from that.
