I believe that there is a god but I don't believe that the bible is divinely inspired or the literal truth.I belive that god wants us to be the best person that we can be and to make the best use of the world we are in and of our own gifts BUT I wouldn't call the state of my belief structure full and satisfactory, its just where I am now....I don't think its unreasonable for an atheistto feel the same about their stance....they may not feel its full or satisfactory, its where they are now.....as for the importance of what happens next....well its what happens next...whatever it is will be regardless of what I believe (although I know what I hope for) and I don't think that the afterlife is one thousandth as important as what we do and how we behave here and now.
