NASA has just released images of a black hole located in a distant galaxy.

It measures 40 billion km across - three million times the size of the Earth - and has been described by scientists as "a monster". The black hole is 500 MILLION TRILLION km away.

Logically, do those enormous distances not encourage the creationist fraternity to wonder if they’re mistaken? Do they not ask why, from this whole unimaginably vast universe, a creator God would have selected this minute speck of dust located somewhere near the outer reaches of a fairly minor galaxy – just one of an estimated 2000 billion galaxies each containing billions of stars – as home to his beloved(?) creation – man?

Personally, I cannot believe we’re that special. What say you?

If we accept the premise that Pi is defined in the Bible, it is only a very, very crude approximation of it, scientists have recently calculated Pi to 31 trillion digits.

So is we apply this to other things in the Bible- the Bible explains things crudely and it actually takes science and real work to detail it properly.

I am sure there can be all sorts of "links" to names, locations, numbers or dates in any written work in any language with sufficient words to pick from.

A piece of circumstantial evidence still demands an explanation, but the mob, comfortable in their numbers and mutual admiration clubs, refuse to delve into the subject and just go for the quick brush off.

It's quite old really, and there's no reason that it couldn't be incorporated into biblical texts. The importance of pi has been recognized for at least 4,000 years. A History of Pi notes that by 2000 B.C., "the Babylonians and the Egyptians (at least) were aware of the existence and significance of the constant π". It's pretty basic geometry really, like "Pythagoras' theory" it probably originated in India.
