God is as immoral as anyone you could find. I sincerely hope and suspect theland is not being literal.

Yes they were married.
Ah cool! I genuinely never knew that. Do you think it is moral for people to stay together for life, even if they are very unhappy/ violent etc? Do you think God really hates humans?
Is being married the 12th commandment? it certainly isn't mentioned in the first ten.
I believe the ultimate authority for morality is Zeus, but it's nice that the likes of Athene, Apollo, Poseidon, etc. can disagree with, and thwart him, from time to time.
"Morality" is a human invention IMO and as such, is very much a subjective notion. With that in mind Theland, I would say that the originator of that notion holds authority over it.

I have to disagree.
With me? If so, please explain.
...and you don't "have" to disagree, you are choosing to disagree.
Question Author
Yes I disagree.
It would be like you making up your own rules, whilst the rest of us live by the laws of the land.
Do you see the similarity?
Theland, //Yes they [Adam and Eve] were married.//

Nonsense. You’ve made that up.

//It would be like you making up your own rules, whilst the rest of us live by the laws of the land.//

Not so. Morality is personal to each and every one of us. We do make our own rules.

Spath at 17:05 - You have something there.
We are all made in the image of God, so yes our conscience really is the still small voice that guides us if we are prepared to listen to it.
"really is"

Well.. that is speculation to a certain extent.

But my morals, ultimately come from my conscious or that inner voice. Sometimes that voice my irrationally say things, that could be the devil on my shoulder, but most of the time that inner voice forces you to do good, by playing with feelings such as guilt, empathy and compassion. That could be god on my shoulder. But ultimately, I as myself process these two voices and act on my own accord.

I think the mind is very deep, and if god is real, i'm certain that he is inside every one of us.
God has not and does not exist therefore how can he be the ultimate authority?
Prove it RockRose, and then we can discuss. But it's impossible to prove that he does not exist, therefore the discussion won't happen.
I'm not saying god is real at all.. But I will say, there is no smoke without fire and blumming heck there is a lot of smoke!
You may be confusing smoke with the steam of creation.

Is mass abortion on demand moral? The murder of babies?
Yes that is where personal moral authority leads.
How about the necessity of food banks? Is that moral?
Many more terrible examples of where it leads when men behave like gods.
Theland, //is mass abortion on demand moral?//

Oh dear. You REALLY don’t know your bible, do you.
Question Author
Mass abortion is mass sacrifice.
