An hour long video, but even atheists might feel it interesting and entertaining, and Km sure fellow Christians certainly will.
Just watching the news confirms it all for me.

erm Little Jesus teaching the elders in the temple?
wrong sex but hell (oops heavens!) everything else fits

including the elders do NOT say - oh lets listen to this young child but instead - why doesnt the little runt shurrup and go home?
I think it is very generous to give the time Theland so all the busy busy usual suspects can fail to watch
by my God they dont fail to let rip with their views
Nailit, 20:22... I have asked that myself, but got no joy. My theory is that if theland himself doesn't understand and agree with a video well enough to tell us about it himself, there is no way it would make any sense to me...
Pix,
As an evangelical Christian, decades ago, I did the same thing...I 'signposted' people to other sources (back in the day it was books/ tracts etc) without ever really understanding what it was that I was 'signposting' to. Just trusting that other people knew more than me...
(They didn't, they were just following the narrative)
That is what I am suspecting, nails x if theland genuinely understands and agrees with a video, he will be able to explain it himself. Otherwise, it is just passing the buck. And we all know you can find anything you like about anything on YouTube. It is entertainment and nothing more.
//That is what I am suspecting, nails x if theland genuinely understands and agrees with a video, he will be able to explain it himself//
I agree.

Sorry Theland, but on all the years on AB have I ever yet to hear you defend your own position without resorting to others to do it for you. Either via You Tube or some other link. You seem completly ignorant of your own Bible.

I reiterate,
I am completely willing to have a friendly debate about end time Biblical prophecy with YOU! (Not a you-tube link)

(Waits for a You-Tube link)….
Don't hold your breath... we had a 350 odd answer post of khandro's, recently, which ended in a YouTube link. Theland did say at the time, that a new thread would be better... but I haven't seen it yet.
//Theland did say at the time, that a new thread would be better... but I haven't seen it yet//

Ye of little faith. Wait for it ;-) ….

I am.... :-)
What has always surprised me, more than anything on AB, is that there is apparently only one Christian, anywhere near enough convinced to even share his views.
I'm sure there must be others on the site... who would no doubt say they don't "need" to... but surely that can only be a lack of conviction?
I think it is the sin of pride to say
you should be like me

a lot of the time they shouldnt

if they have children, they usually should not do anything like I do on account of they need a job to feed their kids and I am childless .....
Well fair enough, pp... but you are a Christian? Can you help theland out with any answers?

Nail it @ 20:22 - Are you joking?
Do you think I know all the prophetic bible verses off by heart?
Do you really honestly think I am going to sit here for hours sifting through the scriptures just to find the quote and chapter and verse numbers?
Sorry mate.
This is not a competition with a prize for the winner.
It was supposed to be a conversation, but your giving me the third degree over it, is failing to get a result.
Personally, I have no particular interest in whether you take the prophecies seriously or not, but it would be good to continue the conversation in a less hostile tone without you being so critical.
And the YouTube videos? Why not use them?
They are just as legitimate as calling an expert witness or recommending a book from a bible scholar.
But now that you have once again displayed your credentials, may I ask, what did you disagree with in .Hal Lindsay's book from the 1970's, "The Late Great Planet Earth"?
If you could knock him down on scholarship I would be very surprised.
Over to you.
Theland... obviously I am not speaking for nailit, but if you are claiming to agree with something, you will know what it actually says...
Could you explain to me please (and I'm not claiming to know) which prophecies have literally come true? I am assuming the scriptures also give the year and are very specific?
Question Author
Pixie - Thanks for the consideration, but I honestly do not need any help with answers.
Remember, this was supposed to be a conversation, not a test.
I hope we can continue to talk, but without you becoming as critical of me as has been displayed.

Working on a response now.

Prophecy - Israel will be expelled from the land.
History - Happened in 72AD.

Prophecy - They will be scattered and find no rest.
History - They went all over the world, and were victimised wherever they went.

Prophecy - Name will become a byword.
History - You dirty Jew, tight Jew, mean Jew became forms of abuse.

Prophecy - Will find no rest.
History - often expelled from different countries who no longer welcomed them.

More to come.
I can't help, as I don't know.... that was why I was asking. I'm not criticising either, just asking...
Question Author
At this point it is worth noting that although the Jews were scattered and persecuted, and were not in contact with each other, yet they remained a nation, a nation without a land, held together by their faith in God, and their holy scriptures, the Torah, and their prayer, "Tomorrow in Jerusalem."

Here is my dilemma. Answerbank posts are too restrictive for me to rewrite the whole history of the Jews, and compare it to prophecy.

I can post a link to a YouTube video that explains it, but then I get ridiculed for doing so. It's just like me recommending a book to you and getting criticised for that.

Some of the atheists on here misunderstand me, thinking I want to preach a sermon and convert them.
That is untrue, it is not my job to convert anybody, only God can do that.
In fact I don't have a job to do at all, except to converse with others willing to do so.

More to come.
