Atheist Confusion?

Its about time the AB atheists had a big fat believer to sink their teeth into, and tear to shreds, all red in tooth and claw.
Like fox hunting, it is an acceptable blood sport :-)

So, Richard Dawkins has stated that the universe is simply blind indifference, (paraphrased), that we simply dance to the demands of our DNA.

Yet he has said that science has put men on the moon, yet evil religion flies planes into towers.

Do you see the inconsistency?

This raises questions about morality, and maybe, just maybe, we could discuss it without spilling too much blood, burning too many martyrs, or sending hate mail?
(But just in case I shall be wearing full body armour and a crash helmet :-)

More nit picking.
More aggression.
More ego building.
Theland, In the time it's taking you to wriggle around post after post, you could be giving what you claim to be the 'simple' answer. Why don't you?
This is like trying to debate the town street preachers.
The minute you make a valid point that they cant answer, they accuse you of just wanting to sin or some other rubbish. Why bother?
Theland and Goodlife are no different, they just want to preach.
They just occupy rooms in the the same asylum.

Both think that they are right and both think that they (and them alone) possess truth. And both quoting from the same holy book as well. A book with multiple interpretations.

Answere me this Theland,
What is the Greek word for hell? (
There isnt one!
The New Testament was written in Greek.
Why?
Jesus followers were all simple, hebrew fishermen.
They wernt fluent in Greek for gods sake!

They just occupy *DIFFERENT* rooms in the the same aslyum I should have said.
Lots of opinions and many many articles on the language used in the New Testament.

I am not scholarly enough to dispute them or even to agree but still interesting.

Thanks for the link Mamy....
Always ready to learn
Oh it is, I know nothing about the Hellenization of the Mediterranean.

The Greek word for hell?
My word Nailit, google it.
But why?
Its li!e you always do, scratching around words and phrases that will do nothing to enlighten you, or bringmypu any know!edge of God.
So why do you do it?
What do you profit from it?
Its like the time you spent so much time and energy debating what Jesus rode into Jerusalem. Donkey? Ass? Colt?
Who cares
I couldn't care less if he rode a camel, a horse, a Harley Davidson or a mountain bike as long as he rode into Jerusalem.
Why? Why do you do it? What are you trying to achieve?
Whatever it is you are failing magnificently.
Once you start looking at the linguistics used it becomes more complicated but equally more interesting.

It was a simple enough question Theland, don't take on so.

Thanks Mamya.

Yes Nailit, read Mamyas !ink.
theland, \\ I couldn't care less if he rode a camel, a horse, a Harley Davidson or a mountain bike as long as he rode into Jerusalem.\\
What is the significance of riding into Jerusalem as apposed to walking?
Vulcan, //What is the significance of riding into Jerusalem as apposed to walking?//

It's all about one prophecy (easily fulfilled) that Theland obviously doesn't care about. There's a first!

Naomi, as so often, you can't see the wood s for the trees.
@nailit
Yes there is - κόλαση
hell, inferno, blazes, damnation, Gehenna (Google)

@sevenOP
Don't know if you have a particular view about that, but both video are over an hour, so ... probably.
There is no debate. Give you two minutes - prove it.
One side doesn't have a leg to stand on. The other side doesn't have to prove anything.
For example, one does not have to prove the existence of unicorns or other phantasms. The onus is on the "believers".
This is the principle followed by rational folks.
Question Author
There was a first cause.
Disprove it?
