Is Wokeism The New Religion?
91 Answers
There are many terms and dogmas associated with, '' Wokeism,'' and I don't profess to completely understand them all.
Some of them are :-
Diversity, Integration, Equality, (D.I.E.)
Virtue Signalling.
Gaslignting.
Subconscious racism.
White privilege.
Victimhood.
Phobias of all colours and hues.
Intersectionality.
Mysogyny.
Homophobia.
Transphobia.
My simplistic understanding of all of the above, which is not exhaustive, is that the major problem, is the white, ''privileged,'' (whatever that means), male.
So, without me supplying more information, what do you think?
Has, ''Wokeism,'' become the new religion?

We should be aspiring to equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome//
Yes, but you have it backwards. The only reason it was started in the first place, was because the biggest proportion of people in positions of authority, are (and always have been), white and male. And it seems, they tend to favour and recruit the same. It's 2020 and we have had centuries to even it out a little, but still haven't. You can see that, purely by the number of posts on AB about box-ticking if a black person gets a good job... it still isn't just seen as normal or fair.
The idea is to reduce discrimination overall.... and go by talent instead. And unfortunately, that seems to mean almost forcing employers to be fair, so everyone is represented, and gets more of a say on who else is recruited.
I think you are seeing it as "others" are "preferred", where the point is to stop them being automatically "less preferred".

And for those who deny it's existence, that is "White Male Privilege" to a tee. Something, through no fault of their own, white males will never have to endure.
